We got in to the hotel quite late at night because of our flight schedule. It was nice to have the reception open late. Room was comfortable, quiet and clean enough. We had a nice sleep and we left the following morning, so the room did its job.

The room head board was covered in holes and looked dirty. The room smelt of uncleaned drains constantly. The staff very friendly and the bedding and towels clean but the room was in need of some repairs and a coat of paint.

No fan provided in the room despite heat-wave temperatures that easily reached the nineties indoors. Also, no maid service (including for trash-emptying) across a weeklong stay.

Great location. Twenty minute walk from Gare du Nord. Twenty minute walk to Notre Dame. Easy access to major subway lines. On the edge of the Marais. Staff is pleasant and helpful. My room was a good a size and the the bed was large and comfortable. Great price. . Faults Bathroom shower was full of mold. There was only one accessible electrical outlet in the entire room so you could not run the fan and charge your electronics at the same time. I had to squat to see myself in the bathroom mirror and I am not tall Television was disconnected and placed very high on the wall so I could not plug it in. Finally found the tv remote on the third day hidden on a tiny shelf high up on the wall.. Weak hotel wifi signal so I was forced to use my cell phone as a hot spot. No elevators but I was asked if I needed help carrying up my bags, But I still had to climb three flights of steep stairs every day. Maybe ask for a lower floor.

The atmosphere was very Russian: cockroaches, everything was broken, the lamp in the ceiling stopped working on the second day of our stay, the socket outlet above the bed was dangerously broken, the shower was extremely small and the walls were broken.... No cleaning at all during our stay, we had to ask for more toilet paper from the staff, the noise from the streets was horrible but the staff guys were always friendly, nice and very helpful. Yes our stay was cheap, the location was excellent but never again. :D

Location was good for tourism and cute during the day but sketchy at night. There are definitely better hostels in Paris for the price— the sheets were dirty and the bathroom situation was atrocious (it was the size of an airplane bathroom and gross with an EXTREMELY slippery shower). The room was quite warm but we were provided a fan by hotel staff that made it okay. Contrary to prior reviews, hotel staff was helpful and friendly and accommodated us leaving bags before check in and facilitated an early check out. A fine place to stay if you don’t mind an untidy room on the 4th floor (lots of stairs, not accessible as there is no elevator).

Ok so I was pleasantly surprised after reading the atrocious reviews, although I did go in with very low expectations. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly - that’s the positives. Plus location is good. The building is very old and very noisy - the sound of the doors closing is very loud and you can hear voices from other rooms. The toilets are shared (one on each floor) so are fine after being cleaned but after that you’re relying on the cleanliness of other guests…. Was it as bad as I was expecting? No. Would I stay here again? Also No.

Terrible

The only good thing was the kindness of the receptionist. All the rest terrible . Room smell to quemicals, cleanness poor and the very worse thing was in the description I was never adviced about the shared toilet. Unacceptable. I slept the because I have no more option ( checked in very late). I would like to get a refund for my money since a I was given a room with no toilet and I book one with private toilet

The hotel is generally conveniently located to the Metro, but the area is a little rough and some guests may not feel comfortable, especially at night. This hotel is inexpensive and for good reason. While my room on the top floor was clean and the bed was comfortable, the toilet is shared down the hall, and bring-your-own toilet paper from your room. The shower drain was plugged and more notably the shower curtain was hung too high so water ran all over the floor, across the room. They provided only one towel for 2 nights stay, bad enough, and while the staff were friendly enough, I had to argue with them to get extra towels to clean up the flooded water in my room...seriously! And they didn't care enough to help problem solve. They were more focused on collecting the additional 10 Euro I had to pay, despite water flooding. The room was sparsely furnished with no place to put my bag, and only a tiny little shelf big enough to put my keys and wallet. In the early morning, the lady in the next room started screaming at her partner, waking up everyone. You better get a very good deal, and have very, very low expectations to stay at this place. At least there were no bugs, that I saw, but the lights in the room automatically shut off, presumably to save power, so who knows what I didn't see!
