"I loved the staff and the cleanliness of this hotel. The location was perfect for exploring and the hotel bar was good without being over the top expensive. The only negative is that we were supposed to get 20% off food and beverage once per stay through Expedia. However they should tell you it’s not redeemable in the restaurant. Only the bar or Illys coffee shop. We left it until the last morning and couldn’t use it. The coffee shop and bar were closed. Anyway just a heads up. We had a very enjoyable stay though. They got us in the room early as we arrived at 10:00 in the morning and were very jet lagged. I would most definitely recommend to anyone !"
THE FRITZ HOTEL Amsterdam

"The best part about the Fritz is the location. Right across the street from Rijksmuseum/Van Gogh and short walk to metro, trams, and canals. The room itself was fine, we got the city view and could see right out to the street and museums. It’s small and cozy but we didn’t mind. AC worked well and kept the room cool. Not allowed to open the window but the view was still nice. There is an elevator but it’s extremely slow and was out of order a portion of our stay. Wasn’t a deal breaker as we preferred the stairs (very narrow in Amsterdam) but worth mentioning. The reception is only open 8am-6pm. We were able to check in with no issues before 6pm and they have WhatsApp for any questions after hours which they responded promptly. Overall I would recommend if you plan on visiting the museums and are looking for a solid budget option."

"The 2 star hotel is fine. There is a friendly cat that I enjoyed seeing and appreciated that the hotel has a pet. The room was very small, but adequate for me. The owl decor is cute. Most of the staff are good - they have shortages of ice, but have a fridge they can store cold things in. The directions they offer are limited, rushed and they don't like giving them. I enjoyed the outdoor seating area with flowers, wild parrots flying around, etc., but sadly, there were smokers ruining the atmosphere for the nonsmokers. It is nice that use of the 24/7 coffee machine is free and that there is 24/7 front desk staff."

"We arrive extremely early and was just looking for them to hold our luggage but they were actually able to get us into a room. We were so grateful. It was a wonderful stay with a beautiful location. Extremely close to shopping."
