"Our stay at the Excelsior Hotel Ernst am Dom was amazing, and not long enough! The room was absolutely beautiful with plenty of space, and the staff was so welcoming and friendly! It's an excellent location right around the corner from the train station and the Dom and shopping! This will always be our go to hotel when visiting Cologne!"

"Really clean, large and spacious rooms. Beds very comfortable and furniture modern with plenty of seating for comfort. Carpark attached is easy to drive to and parking for the hotel is on the top floor. The bar was very quiet and reception/bar seemed understaffed. Breakfast was fine. There could have been more choice especially for vegetarian options and children. Hotel is on 6 floors with 1 lift working. This was ok though as didn’t have to wait long. Hotel seemed safe with cameras and key needed to access all doors and lift. Would have loved an iron in my room! 15 minute walk to the cathedral. Not the nicest walk late at night. In the day it is a bit longer but nice to walk along the river to the centre. A couple of shops a few minutes walk if you want to pop out for water, take away food etc."

"Came to Cologne for an event so was not at hotel much. Started with an excellent 90 minute massage and then use the spa facilities. Hot tub was a bit cool for my liking but otherwise it was awesome. Beds are super comfortable and housekeeping are very efficient. Happy I chose the Regency Club floor. Breakfast was also very good and they catered to Gluten-Free."

"Hotel was perfect and for myself the location was ideal for my travel plans. Train station 5 mins walk away, trams and buses right outside hotel. I can't fault the hotel for anything and would recommend it."

"No parking. We had to park blocks away in a paid parkade that was expensive. Came for the pool but didn’t get a chance to enjoy due to our lateness, as well you have to pay extra for access to it which was not worth the 1-2 hours of potential enjoyment that we could’ve had. We also did not feel that safe in this area of the city where the hotel was. A lot of graffiti everywhere. What appeared to be the ?homeless consuming drugs during our walk from the parkade. I would not come to this hotel again."
