We arrived a half hour early to see if rooms were ready. We were told that check-in is at 3:00 and the rooms were being cleaned. We watched two other sets of guests come and were given rooms instantly. We waited 40 minutes past the check-in time of 3:00. I asked again and they said, "Oh, let me check on that." Customer service??? Our room was dark w/lights on. I looked out our sliding doors to see if the pool was our view, like my daughters room. It was the outside of the hotel. I saw ladders, a bucket w/beer bottles and cigarette butts that remained there for our stay. Our sliding door lock was broken. I took off my shoes and continuously stepped on some kind of particles (dirty carpet). Hours posted for the pool and bar were different than what staff stated. Hot Tub had build-up debris. Towel cleanliness was questionable. While waiting for our room, we witnessed a disgruntled prospective employee. She waited an extremely long time and outside of the building, for an interview. She was spoken to inappropriately. The front desk told the cleaning staff to stop cleaning rooms to come give this interview. Don't managers that handle this? There was a plus- the breakfast was perfect- go figure.I was very upset about all this but tried to stay positive for my family.
