"The room was clean, staff always replenished towels and took trash. The pool was nice, hot tub felt good. You could watch the fireworks from the island every night. There is a McAlisters, Texas roadhouse, dennys, cookie company, Baskin Robbins, all within walking distance. And we also made use of the free breakfast (which was pretty well stocked) and coin laundry. Overall good stay."

"What we hated: The room had 2 beds and 2 TVs, but only the smaller TV worked. The large one for the bed by the balcony would turn on but it wouldn’t connect to the cable channels, even though the cables were all properly connected (I checked). Very disappointed in that. The shower water came out with such extreme pressure that it felt like it was taking my skin off and wet everything in the tiny bathroom, including the floor! The toiled was so close to the floor that we had trouble getting up (we are in our 60s). The front door handle had to be lifted to the up position to enter the room, instead of the down position at millions of other places (I figured that out after 15 minutes of frustration). GPS does not take you to the office, it takes you across the river to the second building and the girl who answered the phone acted like it was my fault that I couldn’t find the office. Signs all around say the office is at address XYZ but GPS says you have arrived. Horrible instructions on the signs and by the girl to find the office but I finally found it. Ugh!!! Being woke up at 2:30am by the fire alarm outside the room and noticing the flashing red lights of the fire department vehicles (they reset it and it was fine). What we loved: the river view from our second floor room balcony! It was so cool to see Canadian Geese landing and geese and ducks walking around and swimming in the water. The bed mattresses (Serra!!!! OMG!!). The pool (open until 11!!!). Might stay again."
