ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort by IHG

"I am American and my beach vacations are usually to Mexico. Please keep that in mind when reading my review as that is what I will compare most of it to. I am spoiled. If you are familiar with that type of resort, this will dissapoint you. 1. If you are expecting something nice and modern you will not get that here. This hotel is very outdated. The service is on par for a nicer hotel. The staff was 4/5, Actual hotel probably 2/5. The AC is very weak and Okinawa is hot and humid. The first night we were sweating and had to call for a fan. We left the ac running the next day and it was much more comfortable. Also the parking lot is far from the hotel. They do have a shuttle though. 2. The beach was fantastic. The water here is some of the best I've seen. Bahamas level or better. There are still some fish in the swimming area even though its netted off. 3. Expensive! This hotel was the most expensive of our entire Japan trip and probably the worst. Not only was the stay expensive but everything you wanted to do there cost extra and there was a huge mark up on drinks. I got used to paying under 500 yen for a beer in the mainland but here it was 1000 for one beer. Even 990 for a cola! I got used to Japan prices for the previous 10 days and then got sticker shock when I had to pay America type prices. I would not stay here again. Would just pay to use beach"

Halekulani Okinawa

"Absolutely stunning property. This was an oasis in Okinawa. From the moment you arrived, Halekulani delivered. Impeccable service, welcome drink, top notch food, nightly turn down service, room amenities, and items in the room you can use during the trip and keep (flip flops, beach bag). The bed is so comfortable and we had fantastic sleep. The shower head was rain style and had great pressure. The rooms had incredible sound proofing and beautiful views from the balconies. The pools were peaceful and the staff was very helpful in securing chairs for you. The swim up pool bar had fantastic drinks and the staff were super friendly. Really beautiful view everywhere around the resort. We hope we can return!"

"My family and I had a great time. Hotel room was nice, breakfast was good. Breakfast could use more western variety. Pools were good and location was good."

"Love the stay there, nice ocean view, and very helpful and attentive hotel staff. There's a golf cart that brings you and the luggage from car park to the hotel lobby 👌 The down side is hotel parking is not free, which is pretty common in all hotels in Okinawa."

"Gorgeous place! Loved the grounds set up and greenery. The food in the main buffet area was delicious and the beach is so nice. The only downside was the amount of walking necessary to get to and from the parking lot, beach, and where our building was located. Otherwise, this was an amazing stay and we wish we had booked a longer trip!"

Hotel Miyuki Beach

"This hotel was genuinely amazing. The views from the rooms are incredible, and the rooms themselves are very spacious. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel does feel a bit dated and has a strong late 80s/early 90s style, but the facilities are large, well maintained, and functional. The private beach is absolutely beautiful and a real highlight of the stay. However, the pool was not clean during our visit, which was disappointing and meant we chose not to use it. Breakfast was also quite limited, especially in terms of sweet options, with mostly savoury choices available and very little variety for those who prefer something sweeter. With some updates to the decor and improvements to breakfast and pool maintenance, this could easily be a 5-star hotel."
