Top Number 8 Community Arts centre Hotel Reviews
The Wood Norton
8/10 Good
"The building and grounds are stunning. Gorgeous setting, but the food, amenities and service standards don't quite live up to the visual expectation. The michelin- starred chef who has written the menu is as close to michelin starred as the place will be, I'm afraid. The food was fine, but not glorious. The service was a little haphazard, would have been so much better if done with some interest or a smile (except for the lovely chap in the bar, who was very good, remembered people's drinks, asked if he could do any more etc). The pool table was a welcome attraction (it has a definite slope and is positioned too close to one wall). The gym is stuck in a building used as a store, not kept clean and mostly forgotten. This could be so much more of a feature. Having to pay £25 each to use the pool next door is a liberty. I don't know why they don't extol the history of the building and it's various uses which would be of great interest to visitors. But the most troublesome aspect were the moths and wasps in the corridor in Pear Tree Mews, which were reported, but nothing done about them. Leaving lights on and windows open was a mistake. Overall, a lovely venue, the rooms are nice (could do with plugs near the bed) , but needs to raise its profile to meet its splendour"
Eckington Manor
8/10 Good
"A lovely two night stay at this small hotel situated in a quaint village incorporating a cookery school . Our bed was very comfortable, lots of pillows and our room has a sofa. Staff were very friendly and helpful , room clean with most amenities you might expect. I have given this 4 stars and not 5 only due to the terrible wi-fi that was unusable even for basic emails and no phone data signal (EE) Breakfast was nice , hot and promptly served. Being picky we are both vegetarians and the one soya based sausage replacement for the sausage and bacon others got was not nice. Just a suggestion ..but perhaps more thought should go into the vegetarian alternative? A fritter or halloumi or perhaps greens ? Oh and still being picky the fruit salad and yoghurt might contain other fruit than melon , pineapple and apple. Most places would offer some berries a bit bland otherwise. To sum up our stay was lovely , It was quiet , clean , friendly and to be recommended. Not everyone would see WiFi as important as this hotel attracts many customers for its wonderful evening dining experience."
The Nait - Riverside, ground floor bedroom, Evesham
10/10 Excellent
"We had a few days away with our 5 (young adult) grandchildren. As we just wanted a relaxing few days the Nait was ideal. Adequate parking and lovely property. We went to "The Valley" to play crazy golf on one of the days which we all enjoyed - the rest of the time we made use of the facilities and enjoyed the hot tub and access to the river for fishing."
Days Inn by Wyndham Tewkesbury Strensham
8/10 Good
"Got there late evening, parked outside. Friendly receptionist. Room was what you would expect for that price but it was clean and bed was comfortable enough although dated. Being able to get something to eat late at night in the services a short walk away is a plus. As a stop off when travelling would stay there again."
Chequers Inn

10/10 Excellent
"Broad Iron Cottage beautiful well maintained cottage. Very comfortable. Location was peaceful and lot of walking paths nearby. The welcome pack was very useful as we were able to enjoy a cup of tea on arrival. Closest supermarket is Aldi which is about 20 mins away. We can recommend this cottage to anyone"
