"Beautiful cottage, very private, very quiet, rustic but well kitted-out. John was exceptionally helpful, and saved the day when we had an emergency passport delivery. Bed was only issue. Not great for two people, felt smaller than a queen, and had a divot in the middle. Probably not as much of an issue for others but I’m not the best sleeper and it was very noticeable to me. Would also encourage replacing the cookware- mostly older nonstick pans with the coating coming off. But otherwise loved the property. Thank you for the great stay!"

"This is a wonderful gem with a bar and restaurant on property and a pool sauna, and jacuzzi. Friendly and accommodating staff. There is no air conditioning in the room, but the room had a fan and I was quite comfortable in July. I look forward to returning again."

"Mary was an excellent host, who responded quickly with helpful information on both our arrival and departure. Pull in the driveway and you are able to park 3 cars easily behind the house, with a separate exit that continues on around the other side of the house. The private beach is across the road, through two hedges. The dock is sturdy, the beach is sandy, the water is shallow and there are good chairs for relaxing by the water. There is a general store about 100 yards up the road where you can purchase most things, including breakfast/sandwiches to go. The large cottage is quirky, yet comfortable, as might be expected in an older house. We happened to be there during some very hot days and while there were fans in the larger cottage, they did little to reduce the heat at night, especially on the second floor. We did not locate a fan in the small cottage, but it did have ceiling fans and we brought a fan over from the large cottage to help. The small cottage was actually cooler than the large cottage as it only had one floor.We enjoyed our time at Isabell Cottage and Isbellita Guest Cottages on Lake Willoughby. Thank you, Mary!"

"Beautiful spot. Truly nice cottage. King bed fits under eave on one side of loft so a bit claustrophobic and hard to access. With loft window open incinerator smells in loft. Steps into water off the dock are extremely slippery. All these things can be managed fine, but maybe could be improved? My most passionate suggestion is to raise the price just a bit and allow free use of boats. We were unsure of how boat use works...just trust between host and customer?"

"This pet friendly cottage was just the get away for us and our guests from Ohio. (My 4yo grandaughter called it the cabbage, cabincottage)Quiet, private, and so many things included down to the beach towels and bug spray. Close to conveniences without being surrounded. Amazing stay."

"Absolutely beautiful property on a stunning lake. This getaway was everything we had hoped for. The house was clean, the property was private and peaceful - we can't wait to return. The lake itself was clean and very inviting. Entry to the lake was a very gentle slope, perfect for our pups to play around. The house was stocked with anything you could possibly need. The general store a few minutes away has all the basics and more that you could possibly need as far as groceries, produce, toiletries, etc. in case you forget anything. We plan on returning again and again. Thanks!"
Cozy lakeside cabin on Lake Eden, Vermont

"Lovely small cabin tucked back on hill where you can see the tree tops. We were able to view an eagle on top of an old pine tree. Our contact was very brief with Sherri the owner but we felt very welcomed. The first thing we noticed a flower pot on a sitting area outdoors enough room for two to sit. Inside you are greeted by a bottle of wine and a nice chocolate bar. The cabin has a full kitchen with a variety of utensil. We were introduced to a gas toilet. A nice large shower. All areas were very clean. Our stay was very relaxing for the most part other than not feeling well 2 of the days. Hope we have a chance to visit another time. THANK YOU SHERRI for your hospitality."
