Recently stayed at the **Henry Howard Hotel** in New Orleans and really enjoyed it. It’s in the Garden District, so you’re away from the noise of the French Quarter but still close to great restaurants and shops on Magazine Street. The streetcar stops nearby too, which makes getting around easy.
The building itself is beautiful—an old townhouse with a lot of character—and the rooms are stylish without trying too hard. Think tall ceilings, comfy beds, hardwood floors, and cool vintage details. It feels more like staying at a friend’s elegant home than a typical hotel.
One of the best parts was the staff. Everyone I interacted with was incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure guests had a good stay.
There’s no gym or pool, but the vibe and service (and parlor!) totally made up for that. If you’re looking for a quieter, more relaxed place to stay in New Orleans with a lot of charm, I’d definitely recommend it.
