Hôtel de la Poste

10/10 Excellent

"Located right outside the city walls, this location could not have been better for our stay in Beaune. It was a simple Uber ride from the train station, and staff was very helpful identifying cafés and restaurants we might want to visit. Our room was nicely appointed, very clean, and the bathroom look new. We also took advantage of the elevator, which took us up to the second floor with our luggage."

2/10 Terrible

"We booked this hotel last minute as we wanted somewhere to put our head down traveling back from the South of France to Calais. We arrived late at night say 11pm was given our room and all looked well and clean. My husband woke about 5.30am to the sound of mosquitos..we had both been bitten several times. when he turned on the light the floor was covered in ants from the bathroom all the way into the bedroom. We reported it to the girl in the morning she came and took photos and said she’d report it to her deputy manager and apologised. She took my email and telephone details and said she’d report it and we would at least get a refund. Two weeks later I’ve still not heard anything and still no refund. Would I stay here again….most definately not"

"So I don’t normally write reviews but this hotel horrible. The lobby area and seating area’s downstairs were fine and location was near centre of Beaune which is a gorgeous place. However our room was something out of the dark ages. Small, dark, uncomfortably bed. Disgusting decor, old wood chip paper on walls, no fridge, no bottled water. Bathroom horrible, not even big enough to dry yourself in and I’m only small. Depressing place in what is a fantastic area. I certainly would have expected more for £100. Thank goodness we were only there for 1 night. BEWARE choose your hotel carefully."

Abbaye De Maizieres

"We had a wonderful stay at the historic Abbey. Room was great- cool red lights! The breakfast buffet had very good decor, service, croissants and bagels- warm from oven! Very helpful & friendly staff at front desk. The only drawback is there are a LOT of stairs! (And no elevator). Definitely recommend."

"The hotel is very centrally located, within a short walk of restaurants and shops. It’s clean and comfortable, offers a good breakfast buffet, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed here twice and each time had a great experience, I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great value, with the added convenience of being dog-friendly and having parking. A great base to visit all that Beaune has to offer."
