The actual hotel was very nice, the staff was very nice, the breakfast was decent if it’s included in your rate, I wouldn’t pay extra for it. What was annoying was having to turn in your room key (and the room safe key) when you leave the hotel, so you have to wait in line coming and going every time. The room safe was teeny tiny about a 6” cube, so couldn’t fit in our ipads or anything of that size.
Finally, the area is not great. Homeless sleeping nearby, immigrants selling what looks like flea market items nightly. One night when we were coming home from Toledo we asked a military officer about the metro, which was shut down for some reason. He told us that we should take the bus and not go on foot. We wondered if it was because it was too far or not safe. There was only one night where my wife felt unsafe walking in the neighborhood but we were usually back before 10 pm.
