We LOVED our time here and were sad to go! There were a few hiccups when we first arrived, Joe and his team were very responsive to those and any other inquiries. The beach is so close, never crowded, and gorgeous. The big pool was a ton of fun! The building is a little dated, however the apartment itself is wonderful. The biggest bed (where I slept) was so comfortable, my parents also slept comfortably in the other room. The kitchen has everything we needed outside of groceries, like cooking utensils and some seasonings. Don’t forget to bring oil/butter for cooking along with your groceries! The Keurig was very convenient, we just brought our coffee pods.
The apartment was clean, the linens and towels were fresh. The couch does sink a little, but it didn’t bother us (and they are waiting for their new couch!). My dad (who has a bad back) found the desk chair most comfortable.
The big tub makes baths for the kiddos easier, that was a nice perk. It was also nice to have a vacuum handy!
The view…what can I say about the view when the pictures speak for themselves. It’s like having front row seats to nature’s beauty. It’s gorgeous! And the best part is we were only steps away from it.
I loved the location, in between Manteo (aquarium!) and KDH/Kitty Hawk. I highly recommend Sugar Shack for seafood - they will make the fish/shrimp however you like, plus a gorgeous view at sunset. We loved breakfast at The Dunes Restaurant, and ice cream at Fatboyz Ice Cream! All were close by. We made the best memories and will most definitely be back!
