An A frame tucked away in Muldoon, surrounded by larger ranches. This home is centrally located among several popular locations, such as Austin, San Antonio and Houston. Avoid all of the Houston traffic for an easy 45 minute drive into Round Top and Warrantor for Antique Shopping. Come to Flatonia in October for the Czhilispiel. Beat the traffic into Austin with a drive thru Smithville and Bastrop to pull right into Bergstrom s Austin International Airport (<1 hr), Visit local County Fairs and quilting shows. Sit on the back porch swing and cook out on the grill while you watch the cows and donkey roam around the back pasture. Watch the hummingbirds in the Spring as they flitter around the feeders on the back porch. There are plenty of shade trees to enjoy the full yard. get out and try local BBQ restaurants as well as so many other delicious and fun eateries in the nearby La Grange and Smithville area : D

So very impressed! The hosts were on top of everything and we felt so welcomed. Lots of room and comfortable furniture. Very clean! Highly recommended for individual and or families! Close to all areas we visited including the Shiner brewery for a beer and afternoon music. Kitchen has everything you need. And clean bathrooms. Really enjoyed.

Peaceful

We had another great stay (this was our 3rd). Peace and quiet and very restful. In spite of the rain this time, we were still able to get out and enjoy the area. We'll be back again next year!

Roomy house. Roomy outdoors.

The house felt very spacious. Downstairs was an open floor plan with plenty of seating - 4 couches. Large open kitchen. Two dining tables so you could seat 12. House is out in the country, so plenty of views. Plenty of outdoor furniture. Favorite thing to do was to sit outside in the morning and drink coffee. It was so serene. We would definitely go back.

Country Getaway

We were so impressed with the house (cleanliness, ample living space, and location). The country setting was very relaxing. While sitting out on the patio, we enjoyed watching the cattle and the donkeys in the field next to us. We took quick trips to Lagrange and Smithville to do some shopping. We would definitely come back here again.

Spacious house

We enjoyed our stay in Muldoon! We were visiting family in LaGrange and this house was a much better option than staying in an hotel with 4 kids for a week. The house was very spacious with enough sleeping options for 6 people. The house was very clean and well stocked. It was an easy check in process and owner was very quick to respond to messages. I will definitely stay again when we visit family.

Fun girls’ trip

Country Visit

We wanted to get away from the city, and did we! This location is in a rural area with clean air, open fields and a fully equipped house that provided us the opportunity to just relax and enjoy the environment.

Perfect place !!

Very clean and very quiet place. Perfect for seeing the wildflowers and nearby antique shops. Had perfect nightly fires outside and some friendly animal visitors. Would finitely be back.

Texas Country Charm

We loved our stay at this lovely A frame in Muldoon. The morning views were beautiful as we enjoyed coffee on the back porch. The house was attractive, clean, and comfortable with plenty of room for family to stop by. Communication with the owners was great and we hope to stay again next spring!

The perfect getaway

We had such a great time in this unique A frame house. There was so much space and it felt so cozy. To say the place is well stocked is an understanding. Ann had EVERYTHING we could have needed. The kids loved the tree swing. We also had some outings, there’s some really fun activities all within 20 mins of the property. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Country Getaway!

Our family was looking for a weekend away from home. This charming (and FULLY stocked) farmhouse was perfect! Unfortunately the weather didn’t play along and we had to head home early but we plan to return in spring. The hosts were super welcoming, kind and responsive. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an escape to the country.

Adorable A Frame!

We used this house as a Christmas meeting spot between Houston and San Antonio for my mom, sister, me and our kids! It was the perfect spot. Quiet and cute yard for kids to play around in. The house is super clean and super cozy and it has everything you’d need to enjoy a weekend (or longer!). Seriously, this house is STOCKED! Everything was perfect and the host is super friendly and helpful. We’ll be back!

Quiet getaway

We loved our stay in Muldoon. The house is exactly as advertised, all photos are accurate, and we got exactly what we were expecting (a first in my experience). The isolated location might not be for everyone, but we deeply appreciate the chance to get out of the big city to where the only noises are the wind in the trees, the mooing of cows, and the occasional bray of a donkey. The house is very charming and clean, and all its furnishings are in good condition. The only part that was less than ideal was the upstairs shower, which needs redoing but is clean and functional. The downstairs shower is amazing, so I used that. The bed in the main bedroom is (as usual in rentals) super hard, but we laid one of the futon mattresses on it and voila! Comfy bed. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances, cooking utensils, and dishes. There is even a crock pot, and a second, smaller oven in addition to the full oven. The washer & dryer worked great, and plenty of laundry supplies were provided. The living room furnishings are very comfortable, and the TV worked well. The wifi was fast and reliable. It’s clear from how this house is furnished and maintained that the owners use it themselves, something I’ve realized is the key factor in how habitable a vacation rental will be. We highly recommend this property!

Wonderful experience

The home is quaint and very welcoming. Perfectly situated between the farm road and large ranches. Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and well stocked kitchen. Loved the watching the cattle, donkeys, wide variety of birds from the back balcony. A few structural foundation updates may be needed. Overall an absolute perfect getaway home.

Countryside Getaway

We had such a nice time! There were cows and donkeys across the fence in the backyard, and it was a really nice way to get out of the city for a weekend.
