"Bouceel Castle was a splurge stay for my wife and I but we only planned on staying 1 night in this area and it was well worth it. We were so impressed with our room, our view, the grounds, the decor... it was a shame we only booked one night. The highlight of course was learning about the history of the home and it's original owner. Very interesting and very sweet that he took the time to share it with us. What more can I say? It is a very special place. However, and perhaps most would consider...
"Great property with wonderful staff. Onsite breakfast was very good. Excellent option, . convenient for exploring Mont St. Michel and the surrounding area. "
"We arrived late and the front desk staff was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed before retiring to our room. Parking is on site, just across the road. The breakfast was delicious with several hot and cold food options. "
"Lovely place to stay. Nice room with great beach view, friendly and helpful owner, great breakfast. Location is amazing; we had the shelly beach to ourselves."
"IT MIGHT HELP TO TELL,GUESTS THAT THE STAIRWELL LIGHTS ARE REGULARLY OFF AND THAT ARE ARE LIGHT SwITCHES ,IN THE STAIRWELL, TO TURN THEM ON.Being able to pay on arrival is helpful. The hotel is a bit:snug,i.e.: a charming old house, however:snug."
"Neat older facility. Only restaurant available was in hotel. It was good, but a little pricey. Breakfast options were great. Smoking area in courtyard was unavoidable unfortunately."

"This is a perfect place to stay for your visit to Mont St Michel. It is the closest hotel to Mont St Michel (about a mile walk) not on the island. Some of it's room and it's restaurant has views of Mont St Michel. Our room was updated and comfortable. It was great to eat breakfast each morning with the view and easy to walk or pick up the shuttle to take us to the island"
"Very close to the mont st. Michel. Easy walk from hotel to the mont. it takes a special code to access the hotel zone by car. We did not receive the code beforehand and had to call, but perhaps the miscommunication was due to booking through Expedia site. Not a big deal but my wife had a borderline breakdown because of it. Doesn’t take much for that tho…"
"Very pleasant stay!
The hotel is actually three separate buildings, so you don't automatically get a room in the initial hotel above the famous restaurant.
Only critique I would have is that we weren't given the hotel's six digit reservation code so we weren't able to enter the closest parking lot and had a long walk to the shuttle bus; but that may be Expedia's fault, not the hotel's, can't say for sure.
All in all, a lifetime experience, we loved it!"
"My wife and I had a delightful two night stay at the Hotel Rose, with the intention of visiting Mont-Saint-Michel. Our arrival and check-in were very smooth and the staff were most helpful in ensuring we had all the information we needed about visiting the Mont and the abbey. The room (cabin) was set in a small park of around 10 other cabins. The bed was very comfortable and the cabin had two comfortable armchairs and a dining table with two further chairs. The en-suite shower room was well designed and the hot water was always on demand. The hotel is a one hour walk (4.4km) from the Mont, although you can choose to drive to the large carpark and take the shuttle bus should you wish. My wife and I walked both ways (we are in our 70s, and it is straight and flat, and has a lovely river to walk beside) in order to take in the spectacular views of the Mont on the way. Beauvoir village has several restaurants offering good quality evening meals at reasonable prices, and the hotel staff are happy to advise. We took our breakfast at the hotel, which was a plentiful continental breakfast. Many thanks to the welcoming and friendly staff for making our stay extra happy."
