"Awesome 3 night stay in early May in a nicely decorated and refurbished over water bungalow. Quiet and tranquil. Spectacular views from all the bungalows and around the property. Excellent service. A hands on general manager who personally greets each guest and who was always available for questions and comments. As an avid paddle boarder I enjoyed use of the boards provided for guests. The bungalows sit in waist deep water perfect for swimming, walking, or watching the Eagle Rays swim by."

"We really enjoyed our stay here - everything was as described/stated - maybe the weather could have been a bit nicer but that is not up to the resort 😉. Overall the resort is very well maintained esp. given the hot and humid climate. The coral garden with its variety of fish was really amazing and we drift snorkeled there quite a few times. In front of our beach bungalow we spotted several rays and one baby reef shark as well."

"It was a lovely relaxing 2 week vacation for us. We loved the over the water bungalow. It had a full kitchen where we can cook our own meals. The place has a ceiling fan and 3 air conditioners to keep the place cool. The nearest town, Vaitape, is about a 16 minute drive, where there are restaurants and grocery stores. You do need a car to get around. The bungalow is located in the northern part of the island. It is kind of secluded. We have an unobstructed view of the lagoon. We swam and snorkel off our deck. And watched kayakers race in the lagoon. In the evenings, we watched the beautiful sunsets. There is a double kayak on the deck. We didn’t use it because it required two strong people to move it in and out of the water. A couple of times during our stay, tour buses would stop in front of our bungalow. We guess Marlon Brando’s ex-bungalow is still a tourist attraction. The property manager, Nir, got us a rental car at a reasonable rate. He was very helpful during our stay. The owner, Richard, was responsive to our queries as well. Think of the bungalow as a nice home stay. It does not have the amenities of a luxury 5-star resort."

"We spent a week in St Regis for our honeymoon and we both agreed that this has been the best trip of our lives. We did the overwater deluxe bungalow and it was the most incredible room I have been in. The glass cut outs in the floor and just how big these villas are made it feel like our own private oasis. We got the half board package which included daily breakfast and dinner. One of our favorite meals was at bamboo restaurant where we had the Laksa soup (one of the best I've ever had). I also arranged for the mystery dinner which was by far the best experience of the stay (Shaya was our hostess and she was also amazing). Some negatives are there is a huge aggressive mosquito population and I was eaten alive (however my wife was left alone so it is luck of the draw). Staff was attentive and friendly and greeted you by name which was a great personal touch. "

"Coco's place is at the north end of Bora Bora. It was essential to have a car to get around the island and this was included in the rental. The place had all you need: great views, full kitchen to make meals, laundry underneath, and had a double kayak. Adrian was super in communicating special tips on where to go. In particular, a 1 minute drive gets you to a Manta Ray cleaning station where my son and I saw 3 large rays at sunrise on the last day. "

"Moea was the most perfect concierge. She had our flight number and car rental confirmation to be certain that we were on time, kept in contact with us before our trip and was ready for us to escort us to the bungalow. The photo and description in the listing did not disappoint. Perfect paradise. MaevaHoa is EVERYTHING you ever needed in a vacation home, and more. Details matter, Pat and Heather thought of everything from AED defibrillator, beach umbrellas kayaks, canoes, snorkeling gear to cocktails tiki umbrellas. Amazing. The informational folder read like a good trusted fiend at your side, describing all you need to know about the island, the people, the local spots and the home. We felt welcomed (not the usual info sheet on what not to do and a list of “don’ts. The mattresses were so comfy, the towels clean and fluffy, hot water flowed effortlessly, appliances suited our needs. Excellent location to be picked by fishing charters right off the docks. About 15 minutes away from the airport ferry (main busy area). You can kayak/canoe/snorkel right across the road. The friendly neighbors offered bananas from their yard. The bungalow home was felt like home with all the carefully curated decorations and wood cabinetry and tiled kitchen and bathroom, beautiful. Thank you Pat and Heather for the opportunity to share a bit of your perfect paradise bungalow. We’ll definitely return. Mauruuru roa! "
