Top Morwenstow Hotel Reviews

Woodford Bridge Country Club
10/10 Excellent
"Our first trip to Devon (we live in London) and as a family of 3 we really enjoyed a home from home. The kitchen had all the amenities that you would need which was great. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. Our son used the sofa bed which was ok - it lacked a sheet, 1x pillowcase and duvet cover. The duvet had a stain on it, but my son said it was comfortable. There were some cobwebs and we killed about 10 spiders, which is understandable as the property is in the countryside. We enjoyed the leisure centre with the lovely pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Games night with bingo was a great event and drinks and snacks were reasonably priced. Overall I would say this was a comfortable stay, enjoyed the location, the scenery, the wildlife and the resort as a whole was excellent. Despite what some reviews say about the texts messages, I found them useful and shows the management care about communication. I would happily take my family here again"

The Olde Malthouse
10/10 Excellent
"Unique and cute inn with a lot of history. Magical place and town."

Croyde Bay Holiday Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Facilities were excellent something for everyone. Plenty of kids entertainment on site and outside. Indoor pool was lovely. The restaurant food and breakfast was very freshly prepared and full of flavour. Great choice! The staff were really welcoming and friendly they made you feel comfortable. I will 100% return due to the above and general location of the hotel a walk away from the beach. Very happy ."

Camelot Castle Hotel
8/10 Good
"The room was clean and comfortable. The EnSuite bathroom was very small and a little difficult to use - it was a later addition to the room, made out of plastic. The view was amazing! I did feel uncomfortable finding myself alone in the basement with one of the owners after agreeing to see the art exhibition but not realising I would be the only guest there."

The Tree Inn
8/10 Good
"A beautiful ancient building dating back to medieval times and with associations with historical events. Parking at a public car park some 500 metres away- free from 9-10 am with ticket but you have to pay after that. A basic continental breakfast is provided and tea and coffee in the room. Very close to beaches in Bude. We enjoyed our stay but must confess en suite facilities and a TV in the room would have made it better. Good value for money."

The Countryman Hotel
8/10 Good
"This is a pleasant spot in a little gem of a town. Really worth a visit. We only had a couple of nights but would have loved to stay longer. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Great location, too, near the river and the town centre. My first ever trip to Cornwall but definitely not my last. People very friendly."

The West Country Inn
8/10 Good
"The chef was extremely helpful and cooked my evening meal early, so that I could go out. Unfortunately, there were no decaf drinks; they didn't think it necessary. The building looks run down from outside"

Durrant House Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Great to have a pool which we used. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was good. Room was nice but hot, a fan was included though. Hotel cannot predict weather."

The Beach at Bude
10/10 Excellent
"Great location and stylish, comfortable room which had a balcony with a view to the sea. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent. Parking was a challenge and we had to park a bit of a distance from the hotel."
