Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The staff was courteous and the room was very clean and comfy.
I never had a chance to make it to the balcony. Breakfast was always good.
The front desk attendants were exceptional and approachable. Walter, Ezekiel and Paul were real cool dudes 12/10 (emphasized) would be how I would grade them...I would recommend this property to my friends.
Stayed one night on overnight trip from Buenos Aires. Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent bed. We enjoyed the walkability of neighborhood and its proximity to the waterfront Ramblas. Would definitely choose to stay there again.
The hotel property was beautiful and cozy, very centric.
Yessica and Walter very nice and warmly attentive to my needs.
Breakfast staff nice and food good.
My stay at Bit Design Hotel was a wonderful part of my visit to Montevideo. Very modern hotel with great features, spacious and modern rooms and conveniently located.
Close to all the amenities a traveler needs: excellent restaurants, shopping and very close to the Rambla for a relaxing afternoon watching the sun set on Rio de la Plata.
The breakfast buffet had a great variety of excellent foods and incredibly good coffee.
People at the reception were very kind. Got a free upgrade to a better room. It’s a new hotel so everything looks nice and clean. I will definitely return for my next trip .
I got to the hotel super early and I acknowledged that when I got to the front desk. The recpetionst guy was like yeah… and had a “you’re kidding if you wanna check in early” attitude until I told him I’ll pay for early check-in. He then told me my room wasn’t ready so I was like are there any others available that are ready? He told me it’s a twin room. I was only gonna be there for one day so I literally didn’t care. Plus I had been up since 4AM and just wanted to get into a room. Early check-in was $30 but came with breakfast so that was good. The breakfast itself wasn’t great, but at least it was something. The room itself was fine, but the bathroom was TINY. Also, interesting choice to use all wood for the bathroom including the entirety of the shower?? At least the receptionist at check out was nice and helpful when I had to store my luggage. It was fine for a one night stopover and this hotel is close to the mall, but I probably wouldn’t stay here again.
My second stay, as I appreciate good basic requirements in excellent location. Garage has extremely narrow entrance but part of the time would park just by the sidewalk. Worth special mention, Paul who was the guy in charge part of the time provided outstanding service. He is clearly a vocational hotelier/innkeeper.
Really nice hotel, close to the mall, some really good restaurants and the beach in Punta Carretas and also close to one of the touristic bus stops. The premium suite is quite nice, spacious with a good balcony facing the ocean. It has some amenities in the bathroom, although no drinks in the mini bar. The shower was excellent, quite strong and warm. The room also has two sinks, which I appreciate quite well.
The breakfast is medium, although simple. The sweets were not really good, but the scramble eggs compensate that, they were suberb.
The downsize is the lack of room cleaning while I stayed there, even though there were no "don't disturb" sign on the door.

Meh. True 3-stars.
Location is decent. The lobby area is nice. The room was a decent size. Everything was clean but the room was used pretty hard and showed quite a bit of wear and tear. Housekeeping was hit and miss. The room was cleaned but coffee/tea stuff, cups, and towels were not replenished. Breakfast was fairly dull. Most breads were stale. The rest of the spread was ok.
I stayed at Bit Design Hotel in Montevideo, Uruguay, and overall had a very positive experience.
One aspect that truly stands out is the cleanliness. I’ve stayed in five-star hotels before, and the level of cleanliness here is equal to — or even better than — many of them. Everything is extremely well-maintained, from the rooms to the common areas. It’s genuinely impressive.
The staff was also excellent — always courteous, attentive, and helpful throughout the stay.
The hotel has a great location, and the cost-benefit is very good, making it a strong option for anyone visiting Montevideo.
There is one point I would like to highlight. During our two-day stay, we had some difficulty with the breakfast. At first, we thought it might be due to differences in taste or local cuisine. However, after staying in a few other hotels during the same trip, we realized that this was not the case.
At Bit Design Hotel, the breakfast had limited options, and the items available were not very well prepared. For example, the eggs were under-seasoned, and overall the food quality was not as good as expected. It felt like this could be improved, perhaps with better preparation or attention in the kitchen.
That said, this was the only downside. Overall, the experience was very good, and I would still recommend the hotel.
