Home Away From Home

We loved staying in this ancient apartment! We ended up spending 5 weeks living here. The master bedroom at the top was our favorite!! The kitchen was great, the downstairs shower had fantastic water pressure, the neighborhood was beautiful, the neighbors were quiet, we felt safe, and we really were impressed by the fabulous communication we had with the hosts before and during our stay. They were simply lovely.

Séjour parfait

Accueil chaleureux . Maison confortable bien aménagée et située dans un hameau très calme et typique.Notre objectif était de faire découvrir la Toscane à un jeune couple et à leurs enfants . La proximité de Florence est un atout ainsi que celle de Sienne. San Gimignano et Volterra ne sont pas loin . La maison est agréable , nous étions 7 chacun peut avoir son espace ce qui est bien appréciable après une journée de visites.

Ro Ro’s Princess Castle

Our three year old granddaughter thought it was her castle and that she was a princess. Michele and Elisabetta remain exquisite hosts and the neighbors are very welcoming. Rental cars and train system allowed us to visit neighboring cites. Overall, a wonderful vacation!!!!

Une oasis en Toscane

Maison médiévale au sein d’un havre de paix (hameau) de quelques habitants tous plus sympathiques les uns que les autres et située à une cinquantaine de mètres de la départementale voisine. Lieu stratégique privilégié pour visiter la Toscane entre Pise, Florence et Sienne. Je conseille vivement !

Beautiful rural Tuscan stay

A very beautiful property and grounds, in the middle of the Tuscan countryside The patio area with charcoal grill amongst the olive trees was a beautiful setting for snacks and meals The house inside was very rustic and authentic but comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom s are well equipped Our hosts were very friendly and the welcome bottle of wine and fresh fruit basket was a wonderful touch after a long day of travelling The neighbours were lovely we spoke to several of them though a language barrier Google translate did the job PK

Urlaubsaufenthalt

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und auch die Kommunikation lief hervorragend. Es wurde alles erklärt und wir haben uns gut zurecht gefunden. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist eigentlich nur, dass das vierte Schlafzimmer mit den zwei Einzelbetten nicht abgetrennt ist, sondern im Treppenhaus ist. Es ist zwar mit einem Vorhang etwas abgetrennt und mit einer Klima ausgestattet, aber halt kein eigener Raum. Das Haus ist wirklich schön, vor allem das Panoramazimmer. Wie zu erwarten ist es im August sehr heiss und da nicht alle Räume klimatisiert sind, sollte man sich überlegen, ob man das will. Es war alles sehr sauber, wir haben Empfehlungen bekommen und hatten eine wunderbare Zeit! Wir können das Haus und die Gastgeber sehr empfehlen! Viele Grüße

Tuscany paradise

Lovely spot. Nice and large with lots of room for a big family. You are in the country - so you’ll walk 500-1500 metres to a town to buy food. Car is a great idea. Views from the property are unparalleled. No screens on windows so mosquito coils that were provided were helpful. A/c worked well in the two bedrooms they had it in. Would definitely rent again!

Lots to explore from this beautiful medieval property.

A relaxing stay in this charming medieval property amid the beautiful chianti hills. An ideal getaway for family or friends. Great facilities, wonderful location. Lots of interesting places to visit nearby including vineyard tours and tasting and close enough to Siena and Florence for sightseeing, art and shopping. Spectacular views in every direction.

Enchanted April

This wonderful old house exceeded all expectations! Surrounded by beautiful vistas of olive trees, grapevines, and medieval Tuscany villages, everywhere you look could be the background of a Da Vinci painting. Great walks, amazing food (check out Casalta and di Buzzanca!), and easy access to Florence, cooking classes, wine tasting, art! And at the end of every amazing day, you come home to this house -- so well-equipped, so clean, so spacious and comfortable, and great wifi. Wisteria and sunshine!

Great Home

Great property, local neighbors can be a little loud (walls seem thin). If I were to make one suggestion it would be label the inside trash cans, 5 different bins outside for different types of trash is a bit difficult to understand.

Borgo incantevole

Tutto perfetto, spazi a sufficienza e dotazioni più che sufficienti. Unico neo ( non dichiarato) la camera sul soppalco è di passaggio in un corridoio/ingresso x le altre camere, non vi è privacy. Comunque giudizio più che positivo.

Staying in Wine Country

We intentionally picked a rental away from the high tourist areas. Our goal was to learn the Italian lifestyle. This rental was perfect. It is located within walking distance of 3 small towns but only a short driving distance from some larger towns which gave us access to food, dining, as well as train service. The interior was unique with rooms on multiple levels. It should be noted there are a lot of stairs. The view from our bedroom window was outstanding. During our stay we were able to watch the harvesting of both grapes and olives. On our walks we were able to visit with the families harvesting. They showed us their process and allowed us to take pictures. Our host Michele responded quickly all our requests. We all really enjoyed our stay.

Traumhaftes Toskana Haus

Das Haus und die Umgebung ist absolut traumhaft und authentisch! Überall Zypressen und Blick auf den Olivehain. Es ist schöner als auf den Fotos. Das Haus ist der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für Reisen in Städte wie die Siena oder Florenz

Good stay

The house is nice classic, rather dark inside, which helps to keep the heat outside. Fortunately there were vents that helped also to keep mosquitoes away. The fourth bedroom is actually not really a room, but a space for a bed that you have to pass to get to the other rooms

Heerlijk en prachtig huis!!

Allereerst was het contact met de eigenaren Michele en Elisabetta super! Zij communiceren snel via het berichtencentrum van VRBO, en evt. via WhatsApp, en helpen je als er iets onduidelijk is. Het is huis prachtig. Klopt ook helemaal zoals op de foto's te zien is. Helaas alleen in 2 slaapkamers een airco, dus op de andere 2 slaapkamers was het zeer warm. Ook de woonkamer was erg warm, daar hebben we de mobiele airco steeds aangezet. Helaas hadden de onderburen last van de uitblaas van de airco, dus hebben we hem naar de keuken moeten verplaatsen.. Gelukkig staan er wel 3 waaiers in huis, die hebben we volop kunnen gebruiken. De omgeving is schitterend. Je zit in een buitengebied, dus wel voor alles de auto nodig. Het rijden op alle bochtige en steile weggetjes is even wennen. Er zijn binnen een straal van 15 minuten rijden genoeg plekjes om een hapje te eten. Michele tipte ons "Da Buzzanca". Dit was écht een aanrader! Twee keer heel lekker gegeten. Wel alleen op vr-za-zo open. Wat dit vakantieadres compleet zou maken is een airco in de woonkamer en alle slaapkamers, en evt iets om af te kunnen koelen.

Très bonne tenue de la location bien aménagée. Village très calme. Jardin très appréciable le soir. Excellent point de départ pour visiter Florence et d'autres villes des environs comme Lucca, Voltera et San Gimignano. Bon contact avec les propriétaires.

La recensione corrisponde perfettamente a quanto trovato, host gentile e attento a tutte le richieste. Posizione tranquillissima in un piccolissimo borgo. La casa trasuda storia anche se rimodernata per esigenze di modernità e utilizzo. Posizione perfetta per visitare tanti luoghi nelle vicinanze ricchi di storia e "vino".

Entschleunigung

Wir haben bewusst eine Ferienwohnung etwas abseits der Hauptrouten gesucht und auch hier gefunden. Die Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen, sehr gute Restaurants in der Umgebung, kleiner Kiosk im nahegelegenden Ort. Wir haben die Wohnung zu zweit belegt. Es ist viel Platz in mehreren Etagen. An Küchenausstattung war sowiet alles vorhanden. Sehr hilfreich waren bei 42 Grad die 2 Klimaanlage in den oberen Etagen. Der Gartenabschnitt ist etwa 30m entfernt mit einem Sonnenschirm, der allerdings bei über 40 Grad nur bedingt hilfreich war, da wäre sicher eine andere Art der Überdachung besser. Die Vermieter waren sehr hilfreich bei den Tipps in der Umgebung. Uns hat der Urlaub und die Ferienwohnung sehr gut gefallen.
