This hotel is a "never again" kind of experience:
1. The reception person was on the phone the whole time she was checking us in. We received our key card and proceeded to wonder around the first floor trying to find our room. With this being a Ramada hotel, we had to go over a patio (?) area, where the carpeting was wrinkled and bubbled from the humidity and pool water.
2. Once we found our room, and managed to open the door (it was sticking due to being a bit crooked), I turned the light on, my husband and I set our bags down, I walked up to the sink to wash my hands and then I saw them—2 cockroaches crawling around on the counter by the sink. Although I am not afraid of bugs, the idea of having to "share a room" with those two guys, or the possibility of them hitching a ride with us back home was simply disgusting. We went back to the check-in area and requested a different room. Upon our arrival and explanation of why we would like a different room, the receptionist just sighed annoyingly (at us? at the idea of cockroaches? not sure).
3. Last, but not least, there is a ballroom that can be rented out at the hotel, and as we arrived, there was loud music blasting from that area. It looked like wedding decorations were being set up, and the family was helping to decorate. When we were walking back to our new room, we saw one of our "neighbor's" complaining on the phone (for the 4th time) about how loud it was.
Overall, would NEVER recommend this particular hotel
