Lovely stay at hotel mealba! Had all the amenities we needed, the staff were very friendly, the breakfast catered for all & the bar was reasonably priced. They offered you towels for the pool and even allowed us to check-out a bit later (free of charge!). Would recommend hotel mealba if you are driving, as without a car it isn’t as easy. We stayed and did one day around lake como & another where we got the train to the city centre. They had a taxi service they could call for us & saronno station had taxis parked outside. All in all a really good stay & would recommend! Also would recommend scibui which is a nearby restaurant for reasonably priced food & drinks

Hotel is nice to use as our stop point to drive around Milan and Lake Como, best continental buffet breakfast I've experienced across Europe, pool was nice to use when we hadn't spent the day at the lake. Not a pool to spend days in however nice for a quick refreshing swim in the heat. Evening restaurant not that great for food options, and wouldn't be somewhere I would recommend to eat in every night. Room was always cleaned daily and all toiletries, etc were replenished back to how the room was when we first walked in. The grounds are spotless, watch out for the bunnies if you drive in on a night time they had all come out to greet us as we drove to park outside our room which was always a nice little unexpected greeting.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the highway. Easily reachable yet relatively quiet. The breakfast is excellent and the breakfast room has nice ambience. The room we stayed in had a very good bed. It seems to have had a makeover that was done in a cheap way. Painted tiles in the bathroom and a very small shower that was not drawing very well. At check-in they wanted to keep our passports overnight as their printer was out. Both are big NoNo’s from an identity theft protection point of view. So we waited for the registration which was done swiftly so no clue why they did not immediately opt to do so.

Positiv sind die kostenlosen Parkplätze direkt vor dem Hotelzimmer. Der Außenpool war sauber und meist leer. Ein Teil des Personals an der Rezeption war freundlich & hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Die Auswahl war eher klein aber ausreichend. Leider wurden benutzte Tische häufig über längere Zeit nicht abgeräumt oder neu eingedeckt. Das größte Problem war jedoch das Zimmer. Auf den ersten Blick wirkte es sauber, bei genauerem Hinsehen waren jedoch deutliche Abnutzungsspuren zu erkennen und der Teppichboden war sichtbar verschmutzt. Hinter einer Sockelleiste entdeckten wir außerdem einen Tausendfüßler, was den Eindruck der mangelnden Sauberkeit zusätzlich verstärkte. Am zweiten Abend entdeckten wir eine Ameisenstraße, die sich entlang der gesamten Wand bis zum Bett zog. Nach unserer Beschwerde kam eine Reinigungskraft und beseitigte die Ameisen mit Insektenspray, wodurch das Problem zunächst behoben schien. In der letzten Nacht wurden wir jedoch früh morgens wach, weil sich wieder zahlreiche Ameisen im Bett und sogar auf unseren Körpern befanden. Zudem stellten wir mehrere Ameisenbisse an unseren Körpern fest. Beim Check-out haben wir dies erneut an der Rezeption angesprochen. Die Mitarbeiterin reagierte gleichgültig, als wäre das ein alltägliches Problem. Es gab weder eine Entschuldigung noch einen Preisnachlass oder irgendeine andere Form der Entschädigung für die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten. Aufgrund dessen können wir das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.

Sehr praktisch und komfortabel. Als Paar ein Zwischenstopp eingelegt. Super, dasscser Parkplatz direkt vor der Zimmertür ist. Alle Zimmer im EG mit direktem Zugsng. Poolbereich auch top. Frühstück bestens. Sehr gute Auswahl. Immer wieder gerne.

Renoviertes italienisches Motel in guter Lage, wenn man alles mit dem Auto erledigen will. Für einen Kurztrip wirklich anfrnehm und nur nettes Personal getroffen. Schade, dass das Restaurant im Keller ist, wäre es im Erdgeschoss mit Gartenzugang wäre es optimal. Das Frühstück war italienisch und gut bestückt, frisches typisches italienisches knuspriges Brot wäre noch das Sahnehäubchen gewesen. Personal auch hier sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, sodass immer wieder nachgelegt wurde. Insgesamt wirklich hervorragende Leistung und ein Grund wiederzukommen.

Hallo Check-in, Abendessen sowie Frühstück hervorragend. Ebenso die Lage. Beim Check-out war der Angestellte nicht gerade freundlich. Wir im Zi. 23 hatten ihm mitgeteilt, dass, als wir geduscht haben, das Bad "unter Wasser" stand. Wohlgemerkt, wir haben dies beim Check-out mitgeteilt, quasi, dass man das Duschglas entspr. abdichten kann sollte bevor das Zi. abermals vergeben wird. Ebenso funktionierte die Lichtbirne im Bad beim Spiegel nicht. Dies waren keine Reklamationen, sondern Bemerkungen, dass dies instand gestellt wird. Unseres Erachtens war er nicht gerade erfreut darüber. Alles in allem ist das Motel weiter zu empfehlen -wäre wünschenswert wenn der Angestellte bei der Reception etwas freundlicher zu den Gästen wäre.

Toller Aufenthalt für eine Weiterreise

Es ist ein tolles Motel vor den Toren Saronnos. Gute Zimmergrösse, parken direkt vor dem Motelzimmer. Hunde sind willkommen und werden herzlich empfangen. Das Gelände ist gesichert. Sehr schöner Pool. Das Frühstück ist inklusive und für italienische Verhältnisse echt reichlich. Wir haben abends auch dort gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden. Zu Fuß in die City ist unmöglich, man benötigt das Auto.

Sehr schöne Suite und trotz der Lage ruhig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich. Frühstück hervorragend. Das Bad ist hübsch, aber unpraktisch. Regendusche macht mehr als nur die Wanne nass, kein Haken für die Handtücher am Waschbecken, keine Gläser für die Zahnbürsten. Eine Tür, die die Toilette von Rest des Bades trennt, wäre ideal. Davon abgesehen ein toller Aufenthalt, wir würden wieder kommen!
