Jefferson Street Inn

"We enjoyed our stay at the Jefferson. For an older building it is in pretty good shape. After a day of hiking it was great to get in the hot tub they have. We had a suite with a bedroom by itself with its own lthermostat, which was nice. The location is great, with everything you could want within walking distance. The carpet needed replacing and the fire place was just a bulb behind some fake logs. We told the staff we were disappointed with that and they were glad to get the input as they are refurnishing it in the next year or two. Regardless, we would definitely stay there again."

"The high number of stars for this hotel must be due to the location. And what a location it is! A beautiful deck overlooking Lake Nokomis, a fire pit, and beach along the shore. Absolutely beautiful. However, the rooms themselves were fairly old and tired, although perfectly adequate. The bedspreads were frayed, the mattresses - though comfortable - sagged, and the toilets were so close to the floor that my 80-something mother had a hard time using it. There were also a lot of cracked tiles in the bathroom. But all in all it was a great place to stay and to be right on the lake was idyllic."

"Though I did not have a dog for my stay, I loved how dog friendly it was. As a 78 year old, I very much appreciated the walk-in shower with the seat. Well run breakfast area. Also very much appreciated. I would have been happier with an Airdyne bike rather than the peloton. There was a bright light outside my room and the shade was only partially effective in preventing it from disturbing my sleep. I would definitely stay there again."
