Friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and got clean towels every day. The only down side was that pool was under renovation. They were accommodating to use the pool from the neighboring hotel in 3 blocks.

We will give 10 starts if we could, the hotel it's beautiful, clean and close to everything, the service was excellent! The reception staff Emir Ziya and Aldair Evan are the example of great customer service, they are so respectful, kind and friendly, they take their time to talk to the guest and get to know them, they gave us suggestions of places to visit and things to do, we are so grateful for their service! The breakfast was delicious every single day, the breakfast staff was so attentive and friendly The only downside was that the pool wasn't open because it's under renovation but even without it, we wouldn't change the hotel Thank you so much for the great experience, we will definitely come back next time we visit Merida!

We stayed here twice over the course of our 10 day vacation in AUG 2026. The first time our room smelled humid (2nd floor) as their windows don't open. The second time our room was perfect! (5th floor) We love the location of the hotel and ample parking. Needless to say their breakfast buffet is excellent and they have a lovely pool. Will stay here again.

We had a very pleasant experience at this hotel. The staff was so helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The location is perfect for touristy activities like the Paseo de Montejo, walking the streets of Merida, and Plaza Grande. The breakfast was delicious and we loved how spacious the room was. Our overall experience was excellent!

Breakfast was absolutely delicious and different every day. Staff were friendly though they seemed to be short in the mornings during the breakfast rush. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable to include the option to get a softer pillow. The bathroom needed a refresh as the tiles were worn out and stained and the toilet seat was loose. Bathrooms in the lobby needed better maintenance and one of the elevators continued malfunctioning during our 5 night stay. The pool and grounds were well maintained and I really appreciated the beverage (agua de sabores) options that were available for guests in the lobby. Overall, it was a great stay and not too far from the center of the city.

I had an amazing one-week stay at Gran Hotel Panamericana and couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and even received a complimentary room upgrade, which made my stay extra special. The breakfast was absolutely delicious every morning, with a great variety of fresh and flavorful options. Every member of the staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with recommendations or anything I needed. The pool was beautiful and the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Mérida. Having a spa on-site was an unexpected bonus—I enjoyed a wonderful massage that helped me unwind and recharge. The hotel's location is another huge advantage. It's within easy walking distance of Plaza Grande, restaurants, museums, shopping, and many of Mérida's most popular attractions, making it easy to experience the city's charm without needing transportation. I highly recommend Gran Hotel Panamericana to anyone visiting Mérida. I would gladly stay here again on my next trip!

The hotel has such a great relaxing vibe. It is a bit away from all the action which is a good thing because it can get noisy and busy in the heart of Merida. It is less than a 10 minute walk to the heart of the city and you can’t beat the pool area, dining area, and lovely lobby.

Gran Hotel Panamerica, I am a fan! The hotel is recently remodeled/ in the process of remodeling and the common areas and rooms are elegant. They have an amazing breakfast that is included. The pool area is over the top... such a fine 3D mural on the wall of the pool it is worth a stop here just to see. All the staff was great, the price a fantastic value. Lastly, the hotel is in a quiet area and I slept without interruption.
