The room was clean and big. Breakfast was delightful. Staff were very helpful and attentive. I was very happy with the free room upgrade and the free coffee instead of the bubbly as I don’t drink alcohol. It’s convenient to lots of restaurants and the trams were just outside the hotel main entrance. The Parliament train station is also so close to the hotel. Overall, it was a great experience to celebrate hubbys birthday!
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Hotel seemed to be well looked after and maintained. Rooms are spacious better than others. I’ve stayed in the CBD. Will definitely consider staying here again.
The hotel itself was nice — clean, well appointed and comfortable. Unfortunately, the service left me disappointed.
I had paid extra for breakfast and a 1pm late checkout. As I was running the Melbourne Marathon, I couldn’t attend breakfast, so the hotel provided a breakfast box instead. Unfortunately, it was poor quality, with stale pastries and nothing that seemed particularly fresh.
After returning exhausted from the marathon, I asked if I could extend my already-paid late checkout from 1pm to 2pm. I was told the hotel was too busy, but that they could accommodate it for another $50. Given I had already paid for a late checkout and breakfast I couldn’t properly use, I felt a complimentary extra hour would have been a reasonable gesture.
The hotel itself was good, but the inflexibility and lack of consideration in this situation really let the experience down.

Great guest service, good communication, excellent food wuality
In a fantastic part of Melbourne - great restaurants in easy walking distance. Close to Fitzroy Gardens for early morning exercise. And the hotel staff are great.
The room was a great size and quite clean. I liked the ambiance of the lobby and how quiet the hotel was once on the our floor. Staff were polite but definitely could have been more welcoming.
My favourite hotel in Melbourne - top end of Bourke Street, which is a great area for restaurants, bars, green spaces etc.
The hotel staff are wonderful - they always make me feel very welcome; their service is impeccable.
The rooms are excellent - I usually book the premium king - just a note to ask for the larger ones - there are two different sizes. The slightly smaller one is still great, but I like to be able to walk around my space.
I haven't tried the restaurant - Dollys.
The breakfast and staff are always lovely. This was our second time staying and the room we had on the 4th floor was not great for sleeping in - unfortunately the surrounding venues/hotels had music playing until 3.30am that could be heard in our room (next time ear plugs are a must being a light sleeper).
Also disappointingly the pool heater was not as good as last year - it felt cool to touch whereas last year it was warm.. just the little extras that make a hotel excellent.
