"Kalimera was above & beyond my/our expectations. The staff were very friendly & accommodating. Elvis @ the Sand bar was excellent in terms of customer service. The kitchen staff was also excellent & extremely warm & friendly. I wish we could've stayed longer here but definitely will return & will also refer family & friends. Thank you so much for giving us awesome memories"

"We loved our stay here! Having the pool/hot tub all to ourselves was the absolute best and the host was very easy to communicate with. This area is perfect, away from the more crowded Placencia but still near restaurants/resorts. Would recommend!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Ophelia’s Villa. I had really wanted to be ocean side but we were so thankful we stayed on the lagoon side and had a pool when the sargassum rolled in as we were arriving. The house was exactly as described, clean, spacious and comfortable with plenty of amenities and breathtaking sunsets on a quiet safe street. We all enjoyed the pool, hammocks, and kayaks. Ms. Ida made my son a wonderful birthday cake that was a great treat, I wish we had hired her to cook a dinner I think that would have been very special. Heather was a super helpful host, we appreciated all the local tips in the online guestbook as well as quick responses to questions we had. One tip I would have is that if you think you’ll want to go to Placencia village consider renting a car. We went down there 3 times and it’s quite a haul in a golf cart. "

"Loved our stay. Best pool In Placencia which helped as our stay was when sargassum was in the water. Great continental breakfast and restaurant was great for lunch and dinner too. Service was great too. Loved Placencia."

"Everything was perfect and it’s a rare gem of a property. Only problem was the insane amount of brown algae that cluttered the beach shore, which made it impossible for us to actually enter the water or go swimming; that really was a shocking Bummer when we got there. However, I still give five stars to every category because this was mother nature and out of anyone’s control. No one to blame for that. If it weren’t for that, it would have been phenomenal and perfect in every way, property is like a little slice of paradise, and the bungalow was clean and functional, and actually even nicer than the pictures look . Mark was amazing. Gave us so many tips and recommendations. Helpful host! Hoping the algae situation clears up so we can come back as soon as possible. "
