"I booked the hotel with Expedia from Apr. 26 to 28. When I drove with my family (kids 4, 9) to Hague at night Apr. 26, I never expected the city centre was locked, I can't drive inside the city because of the King's Day on Apr. 27. I drove around the city centre area and finally found a temporary street parking at 10pm, located about 1 mile away and walked to the hotel. There are two male persons in the front desk, one in his 20s and the other in 50s. The front desk persons told me no way to park the car nearby. All the garage in the city centre were closed. Then I requested to cancel my booking. Obviously it was impossible for me to take my wife and two sons walk more than 1 mile at night in an unfamiliar city, with luggages. The front desk persons showed their understanding and agreed to help me cancel the booking. But I need to call Expedia to cancel. There's no way they can do it. I called Expedia around 11pm, explained my situation, and asked to cancel the hotel. Two days later I got an email said my cancellation request had been declined. Because I can't give the name of the front desk persons on Apr. 26 night. The hotel did NOT notify me anything about the King's Day information, and did NOT send me even an email about the situation in the city. The hotel did NOT let me know the garage was scheduled to close on that day. ORAL AGGREMENTS ARE ALSO AGREEMENTS ! YOUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY IS ASHAMED OF YOU ! THIS HAPPENED IN KING'S DAY. YOUR KING IS ASHAMED OF YOU !"

"We picked the hotel because of its location and parking. There are museums, restaurants, and shopping center nearby. The front desk staff was very efficient and friendly for our check-in. Although the layout of the bathroom was a little odd, the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast."

"Very good location and is easy to go to anywhere in the city center. A free breakfast in there and a lot of choices you can choose."

"Staff was really helpful. By waiving daily room cleaning, we got free drinks once a day. They also helped us get a taxi to the train station for the morning we left. Because we were staying several nights, the staff put us in a room facing the inner court of the hotel which made it really quiet. The breakfast included was excellent and realizing the cost of meals to eat out, this was very helpful. City taxes were added on to the hotel bill and seemed a bit high, but we were warned by Expedia. Hair dryer in room has a short cord, so difficult to stand at sink and dry hair, but not impossible. Nice large shower. No fridge in room, but we didn't really need one. Overall cost for the room we felt was a bit high, but it was prime time tulip viewing season, so maybe cheaper during other parts of the year. For security reasons you have to scan your room card to get the elevator to work. Took us a while to figure that one out. Maybe we were told, but we missed hearing it. Location was about 3 blocks from train station and about one block from tram pickup point. It is also located right near a park area with lots of cafe restaurants nearby. Would gladly book here again if we make another trip to the Netherlands."

"The Cove is in the perfect location to explore The Hague. The room is very comfortable with everything you need to enjoy a long-stay. It’s especially nice to have real furniture, including a very comfortable sofa to relax on. Kitchen is well-equipped. Lobby space is great for remote work and meetings. Shopping, groceries across the street. Everything is in walking distance or a quick tram ride away. "
