"This is a beautiful hotel with lovely grounds and gracious hosts. If you are visiting Paestum you can't do any better. There is parking on the premises and the beach is 10 minutes away."

Palazzo Belmonte

"Had a lovely room with a great sea view in one of the villas in the grounds of the old Palazzo. Really good air con as well as a separate fan to keep the room cool - really important given the temperature during our visit (around 30 to 32 degrees every day). Also loved having 2 sun beds on our balcony as well as another table, chairs and a large umbrella. l would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who likes a place with history & loads of character. The old parts of the Palazzo were lovely, staff very helpful showing us around the hotel & to our room, on arrival, via golf cart. Grounds, pool & private beach also all very nice. Would definitely stay here again if I am ever back in this part of Italy. The hotel is also quite easy to find in Santa Maria & there is plenty of parking in the grounds of the hotel if you have a hire car. The Palazzo is also very close to the town - a 5 minute stroll to the centre with multiple cafes, bars & restaurants to choose from. In addition, I loved having breakfast & lunch outside, in the hotel gardens, under the canopies, overlooking the sea each day, the outdoor "spritzing fans" being very welcome due to the heat. "Villa Rita was more like a resort than a hotel. We enjoyed the pool and most of the meals. The proximity to the ruins and to the beach were important to us. One complaint: The method of choosing breakfast or dinner was confusing."

"Private special location. Once you arrive at the castle, no need to worry of anything, the great staff will take good care of you and your stay. We stayed for 2 nights, a special thanks to Davide who guided us through out our stay, have excellent knowledge of wine, food and property values, as well as story of the castle. Salvatore, is an excellent chef, person and the beautiful career he had you can definately taste it in the plates, so tasy, elegant and carefully chosen, thank you for having us at your restaurant table who felt just PERFECT! Could not ask for more, room, common spaces are all we wanted for our stay ! Could not reccomend enough, this place has our heart and will definately come back soon. Thank you for all the rest of the staff who made us feel special. Lots of love, Mario and Dominique"
