Turn the key and be at your home away from home at Ludlow Chalet! Welcome to our lovely, newly-renovated chalet with lots of privacy yet minutes to Okemo Mountain, Fox Run Golf and the lake regions (Echo Lake & Lake Rescue).

Set on 3.6 acres, it is nestled in the woods and set back off the road with easy circular driveway and expansive backyard. Imagine perfect adventurous days hiking and relaxing nights under the stars roasting marshmallows at the fire pit.
The interior design is perfection, making use of the space with creative and inviting quality throughout. A large, well-equipped kitchen with high end amenities and cozy living room with a vaulted ceiling will be your spot for great conversations in front of a cozy fire as well as watching movies and making memories! The family room on the lower level is great extra space for the younger ones to hang out. A television is there too. New large slider leads out to the upper deck, frames the filtered mountain views and lets the western sunlight shine through.

Ski Vacay in Ludlow

House was very comfortable, newly renovated, well stocked and convenient to Okemo. The owners were responsive and welcoming. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience off mountain and have plans to return soon.Thanks for your gracious hospitality, Chris and Nancy!

Family weekend

We stayed at the house family of 5 for a long weekend. We loved the house and the location. Kitchen is fully equipped which is a nice bonus. Communication was easy. We will definitely recommend the house.

Beautiful home

Beautiful home and fully stocked with lots of cooking supplies and toiletries. The owners are very quick to respond to inquires or questions we had before and during our stay. We would definitely book this house again.

Beautiful and Immaculate

Hidden treasure in the mountains. Very private on 3 acre wooded lot. All redone and updated with top of the line appliances and a well stocked kitchen. Beautiful fire pit in the backyard. Hosts Chris and Nancy were amazing. Did some hiking and Kayaking. Can't wait to come back. Kathy & Bill

Third time’s a charm!

This was my family’s 3rd stay at Chris and Nancy’s ski chalet and look forward to going back next year. As always, their place is clean and comfortable. Fall Fun in Ludlow!

Cozy, private setting situated in a beautiful wooded area! The whole house was very clean, and the owners have provided everything you’d need, including coffee, and spices to cook with (should you choose to cook!) We loved our welcome gift that awaited us, of Vermont goodies! My husband and I are in our 60’s, and my dad is in his 80’s, but had no problem with the stairs. The hosts were great with communication, which I really appreciated. Would love to stay here again! The house and Ludlow are charming! Thanks, again from Waco, TX!

Second time a charm

The Perfect Ski House

Chris and Nancy have such a cozy home, perfect location for a ski trip to Okemo. The lower level entrance is perfect for getting all your gear on and off while upstairs stays cozy and warm with the fire going. The kitchen has everything we needed to cook all of our meals and then some. The driveway was plowed a few times during our stay making getting in and out od the driveway a breeze. We have a great weekend skiing, doing puzzles, eating too much and enjoying time away. We’re hoping to make it back next year!

Perfect stay in quiet, scenic location

The house was super clean, well appointed with every detailed considered . Nice arrival treats and kitchen is well equipped .A homey atmosphere abounds and terrific hosts. Close to town center and Okemo ski area. Buttermilk Falls is lovely for a hike (wear good shoes) . Spa and restaurant (old school/historic) at Castlehill nearby and Mountain and Main good for outdoor, fire table drinks or dinner across at Homestyle or Downtown Grocery if open . Woodstock lovely to tour and lunch at Simon Pearce in Quechee a treat .Book a whiskey tasting at Whistle Pig next door to Simon Pearce . Singletons grocery nearby fully stocked with good deli and butcher (tasty bacon).

Perfect Ski House in Ludlow

This house was very clean, very new and very convenient to Okemo. It's about 10 min away from Okemo and the town. The hosts were absolutely wonderful and even left a small gift basket for my kids. The house was well stocked with fabulous appliances, as well as all the staples we needed, such as coffee and even ketchup for the kids. It was a perfect house for our family with 3 kids. The kids enjoyed having their own living room, as did we! Also, you get a great view of Okemo from the house, which the kids loved. I can't recommend this house enough. We'll definitely be back!

Peaceful stay in Ludlow

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Ludlow, VT. The property is pretty secluded so if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is your spot. It's not located off of a main road, so there is no traffic noise and really no traffic at all. The house is beautifully decorated, and we felt very comfortable and at home during our stay. Very clean and cozy. Loved that the SmartTV had many channels and steaming options to choose from while we settled in for the evening. The kitchen is complete with everything you need to prepare and make meals. The renovations are beautifully done. If you love bird watching, this property is great for that, too. Surrounded by trees, we saw many feathered visitors over the course of our stay. A couple of days we didn't even leave the property, but instead sat on the balcony and watched all the birds passing through. We even had a whole family of wild turkeys come by several times (we counted 14 in the group). We thought that was pretty neat. The property is located just a short drive from downtown Ludlow where you can find several good restaurants and a grocery store, which is super convenient. Additionally, Chris and Nancy were very easy to communicate with and got back to us quickly if we needed anything or had questions, which was much appreciated.

Holiday Ski-cation

We stayed in this house in the week leading up to Christmas and it was an awesome experience. There was a significant snowstorm the day before our stay. When we arrived, drive was plowed and ready for us. The house was clean and festive with holiday decor, snacks and a hot chocolate bar. Chris and Nancy were quick to assist us with any questions we had. The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools needed to prepare our meals. The house location was great for us to take advantage of Okemo for skiing and close to several restaurants for dinner.

Perfect for family getaway in summer

This place was great. Perfect for our family of 4 (each kid got their own room). Exactly as described. No surprises. Kitchen is modern and stocked, fire pit at night was wonderful. Place was very clean. It's not a large house, but that was clear from the description and photos and it was more than enough for us. Close enough to town, but far enough away that you feel like you are deep in the woods. Owner was very responsive. We spent 9 nights and used it as a base to explore hiking, biking and other summer activities in Southern Vermont. Had a wonderful experience. We would come back.

Ski weekend near Okemo

This home was meticulously clean, cozy, well stocked kitchen with great high end small appliances, comfortable beds, good wifi and close to town. We knew a huge snow storm was coming through that night and owner arranged for driveway to be plowed before 7am and then we were to call plow driver 30-45 mins before arriving back. He can again to plow so everything was perfect. We loved our stay. Thank you so much.

Wonderful house for family ski vacation!

We rented Chris and Nancy’s house for a month in January 2022. The house is terrific. It’s new and extremely clean with a great layout for a family. The location is terrific; it’s very close to Okemo and the town center of Ludlow. We didn’t have any issues during our stay but when we did have questions, Chris and Nancy were very quick to respond. The house is on a quiet road about a mile off Rt 103. It’s very peaceful and secluded. The roads are very well maintained during snowstorms. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and there are lots of restaurants within a 10 minute drive. Loved our stay and we will definitely be back!!
