"Pat and Karl were the gracious and available hosts of this beautiful property. The home is historic and steeped in old-world craftsmanship and local lore, yet open, airy, comfortable and set where the Milky Way galaxy is unencumbered by light pollution of any kind. Truly a beautiful and relaxing area. The home was very well appointed with everything needed to provide a comfortable and turn-key stay from rockers on the wrap-around porch, to the cast-iron pot for cooking the family a big pasta dinner, to the myriad of TV/Movie channels available for a rainy day. Very well done. Very highly recommended. Sheldrake is the perfect home base to explore the Cayuga area and relax in very authentic and historic comfort."

"This is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay near Ithaca. We stayed here for a few days before moving our son into college and it was perfect for our family of four. We loved sitting on the porch with our morning coffee and the house was a quiet and cozy place to rerun to after exploring the area. The house is thoughtfully stocked with everything from coffee to outlet adapters to plug in all of our devices. One of our favorite VRBOs to date and we can't wait to come back."
The Lily Pad: Absolutely Stunning Cayuga Lake House!

"This property is beautiful and it’s in a gorgeous location on Cayuga Lake. The house is set right on the water with multiple decks and a great dock for swimming, fishing, and lounging. Deck levels have child gates. There are tons of windows and the house is full of light. If you sleep in the master loft room you will be up with the sun (and the moon). While listing says it sleeps 10, it realistically sleeps 8 adults comfortably. If you are bringing kids, the bunk room would be great. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment but bring your own spices and condiments. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit, as well as being on all decks and balconies. There isn’t much of a yard that isn’t on an incline. Overall, it’s a great base for exploring the finger lakes, with easy access to Ithaca, Trumansburg, Seneca Falls, and Watkins Glen. The Finger Lakes Cider House is nearby and has great local food, cider, and family friendly games. There are multiple farm stands for produce along route 89 and a decent grocery store, coffee, and other small shops about 10 min drive away in Trumansburg."

"Luke and Tara are excellent hosts. They are very thoughtful in the supplies and amenities they have available throughout the house. Communication with Luke was easy and efficient, and he responds timely to address concerns and questions.The house is amazing and perfectly suited the needs of my family and me. We were able to have a wonderful celebration for my mother's 80th birthday. There is enough space that the 10 of us could gather together when we wanted to and also be on our own or in small groups if we chose that. The views of the lake are incredible, and the sunrises and sunsets were beautiful."
