"I stay here everyday for a music festival. The hotel is cool, funky and not cookie cutter which I love in a hotel. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly and helpful and the free breakfast is great. Not a continental breakfast but a real breakfast menu."
Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa

"This is an absolutely GRAND resort, complete with it's very own golf course, farm, axe throwing area, spa, pools and a beautiful front porch complete with rockers from which you can enjoy the beautiful breezes and a view to the golf course along with your cocktails and meals. Service is excellent in all areas, and demonstrates old world charm. Food in the dining room and in the bar was delicious, whether something as simple as a pizza, or as elegant as a delicate scallop and pasta dish. Desserts were delicious and not to be missed. This resort is quite large, and there are a lot of long hallways to reach the various sections. If you have mobility challenges, I would suggest requesting a room close to the elevator. Also, drop your luggage in front of the hotel before you park as it is a bit of a hike and some stairs to enter the lobby if you come in from the main parking lot. This hotel was a highlight of our journey through MA, VT and NH. I would highly recommend it if you want a resort filled with old world charm and elegance."
Comfort Inn & Suites Near Burke Mountain

"The hotel was easy to get to and looked very upscale - from the walkway to the lobby, to a grand staircase. The room was very comfortable for an unexpected trip to St. Johnsbury. The room was also spotless. My husband appreciated the buffet breakfast and that certainly made our stay easier. The only downside was that the elevators were not functioning."

"Timberland cottage was perfect for me an my dad. We stayed two nights. Its a small little cabin with a bathroom, small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The only issue was the water for the shower did not get very hot. It was warm at best."
Nootka Lodge

"Nice older property. We stayed in one of the upstairs log cabin rooms (nice) and one of the older motel style rooms elsewhere on the property. I don't recommend the older motel style rooms - small and packed with furniture and the HVAC seemed to be oversized (in the summer the HVAC wasn't drying the room so it felt cool, but moist). The upstairs log cabin rooms I would recommend - however, not the rooms near the office (room 10, 11, 12). Why you ask? Well the stairs to climb are over the break chair and table for the lady who runs the office. To say she is a chain smoker is being kind to chain smokers... she is constantly in this chair and as you climb the stairs all you smell is her second hand smoke. Not a pleasant experience to enjoy your stay at the Nootka Lodge."

"There were 10 of us traveling together. Everyone loved this place. The staff was so friendly, helpful and so fast at bringing out our drinks or meals we ordered. The food was good. Especially the Rice Krispy treats!"
