This hotel had a cute western theme. Our room was clean. It had everything we needed: shampoo, conditioner, soap, and a hair dryer. There was also a mini fridge, microwave, and a coffee maker. The bed frame was rather squeaky and the mattress had a big dip in it, so it was uncomfortable.

Small room but all the essential amenities. Bed was comfortable which is my most important requirement. Not a chain, homey atmosphere, basic amenities, clean. Adequate. A smell of urine when opening the outer door of hallway. I’m assuming bc this is pet friendly. But our room did not smell. Could have used blackout curtains. Fast communication from host. Allowed late checkout to catch up on sleep!

The most memorable motel/hotel from our road trip because of the rustic decor. All the others rooms blend together in my mind. This was my first check-in that was done fully via text message and it worked out well. It can be fun to chat with the check-in person but in this case we were tired so it was nice being able to just head to the room and enter the door code. The room was clean and everything worked. The one surprise was that the tv was on when we arrived. I wasn’t expecting that but we noticed a movie we like was on so we watched it.

If you want the experience of an old fashioned motel, this is a good one. Clean and comfortable with vintage charm. The inside hallway covered in rustic wood paneling and historical local photos was fun to see. The beds were very comfortable with soft sheets and good pillows. Next door there is a nice (but pricey) butcher shop with gourmet foods, wine and picnic supplies. There are also 2 grocery stores nearby to pick up picnic supplies. Only downside is that they seem to be short staffed. When we arrived, we had to wait a while for a kid to go find someone to check us in. When she finally came up front, she was very rude. I guess she was busy and we were bothering her trying to check in… maybe it was an off day. We never saw anyone again after that either when we went hunting for a wine bottle opener. Nearby Downtown Livingston is cute. We drove over, walked around and had dinner. Easy drive to Yellowstone in the morning. Other than the rude greeting, it was a nice quirky place for a night.
