Property is in a very beautiful area of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was good size with balcony looking out over mountains. Dinner was good. Portions are large.

Great view but not so easy to see from room. It’s good with the door open to patio but no screens on the door, so not such a good view from room. Great food, nice hot tub and beautiful large fireplaces

The rooms are clean and okay. Our room had, light bulbs burned out, closet door would not close, shower curtain stuck on curtain rack. Only soap, shampoo and busted lotion bottle. The restaurant was not enjoyable because of the food quality/cooking was poor. Restaurant service was barely okay because we didn't get what we ordered. Very slow service. Hot tub was closed. Disappointed. Person who worked Ice Cream bar was disrespectful and downright hateful. The best thing is the beautiful mountain views and leaving for home.

This is an excellent place to just get away from the fast pased world. On top of the mountain with breath taking views. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was spotless and the property was very well kept up.

It's wonderful to be back and they've been making some great improvements and the staff is so welcomnig and wonderful.... hands down my favorite biz trip stay location.... The view is beautiful, rooms clean and comfy. Enjoyed the patio bar and food service. Most of the shops were closed during our stay unfortunately. Computer problems due to a lightening strike but the staff did a great job accommodating guests.

We've been staying at this resort for more than 10 years and return year after year because of the spectacular views and exceptional staff. One of the things we value most is seeing many of the same employees each year. They consistently go above and beyond, paying attention to small details, like calling to confirm that I had reserved a dog-friendly room. Another longtime favorite is the food at the Chalet. We've enjoyed many wonderful meals there over the years. About two years ago, Switzerland Inn was acquired by a new company. Since then, the resort has clearly benefited from significant investments in updates and renovations. However, room rates, dining, and other costs have also increased substantially. What has been disappointing is that the quality no longer seems to match the higher prices. The bedding is noticeably worse, with hard foam pillows and low-quality sheets, and the food has declined as well. Fortunately, the staff remains outstanding, especially Debbie, Sierra, and Maddy, who continue to provide excellent service. My hope is that the new ownership recognizes that when guests are paying $400 per night, along with premium prices for food and drinks, they expect a level of quality that reflects those costs. If the focus becomes too heavily centered on cost-cutting, the resort risks losing many loyal guests.

What an amazing and magical place to spend a fun-filled Thanksgiving! The Inn was perfectly decorated for Christmas, the staff was incredibly attentive, and the meal was delicious! A particular shoutout to Stephanie! While driving back from a local tree farm, we ran over a tack on Thanksgiving Day. Upon mentioning this issue to her team, she told us to not call AAA and had a family member come to the Inn to repair the tire, what unbelievable service! We will absolutely return with our family, such a special place!

We always wanted to stay here and now we have! The views and campus were absolutely beautiful and the food was delicious. The room was quaint but not sure worth the luxury price. Air conditioner was a little loud which I guess helped quiet the talking at the bar since our room was close to it. Ice machine was outside and there is no elevator if you are older and need that. (My husband and I were ok on the second look though.) Overall we had a really good time … just don’t know if we’d pay the high nightly rate again…and the rates were probably even discounted right now because of the Mountain Parkway not being all the way open.
