"What a fabulous wee gem of a motel! Everything was perfect… even if the weather wasn’t so great. The loch just outside the hotel was brimming with wild trout and my husband loved fishing from the bank(included with stay). The deer paid a visit and looked in the window while we were watching the World Cup. The room is beautifully appointed, containing everything required and more… very comfortable bed and linen, great shower pressure, heated towel rail , perfect little kitchen to self cater....

"I booked a room described as a 'Double or twin room with sea view'. In the notes of the booking, I requested twin beds but I was allocated a double room. The man serving me - older gentleman, white hair - would have struggled to care less. No apology, he just blamed Expedia and gave us a room with no view, which wasn't how we wanted to end our trip. There are signs everywhere telling guests what all the rules are. The hotel feels like an old people's home rather than a holiday destination. ...

"Extremely disappointing stay. I booked for 3 people, but the room was only suitable for 2. The third bed was tiny, rock hard and not fit for proper sleep. I could not let my son sleep on it, so I had to use it myself and eventually ended up on the floor. After driving over 8 hours, this completely ruined what was meant to be a nice family trip. Even worse, the hotel has not properly responded to my complaint or refund request through Expedia. Honestly, the fact this place was one of the only...
