It is an early 20th century building, erected from a pre-existing construction that dates back to the XVIII c. confining the boundaries of the Sintra Cascais Natural Park.
The building's architecture was inspired by the aesthetic movement of the ‘Portuguese House’ sought to find the roots of Portugal's ancestral traditional and rural architecture. The wooden ceilings, terracotta floors, thick stone masonry walls, attics, roof eaves and windows in traditional colors, stand out from this movement.
