I could not be happier with this charming apartment in the picturesque part of Lisbon known as Castelo de São Jorge. Customer service, especially, was beyond expectation.
The apt is located very close (50 meters) from the Castelo de São Joege, Portugal's oldest castle named after the country's patron saint, and a major tourist spot in Lisbon. The neighborhood is very quiet at night and very safe, the kind of place you enjoy coming "home" to at the end of a busy day of sightseeing, etc.
The apartment "Descobrimentos" was very nicely decorated and had a very comfortable queen size bed.
The windows were all new dual action. Very nice!
The living room had pull-out twin beds for additional guests, making it ideal for a couple with two small kids, for example.
The kitchen had a microwave, a small fridge and all the kitchenware you would need to cook, although with all the great restaurants nearby (including Geurreiros in the same building), who would want to?
The bathroom was clean and modern and offered plenty of hot water. There were plenty of towels and even a towel-warming rack!
All floors are modern wood laminates, no carpeting.
The apt had two A/C splits, which I did not need because of the absolute perfect weather the first few days of June. In fact, I slept with the windows open and enjoyed the quietness of the neighborhood at night. Tourist activity around the Castle during the day is robust, but at night it is dead quiet and very relaxing.
