On the drive from Wanaka to Twizel, we drove through the Lindis Pass and were amazed by how much the mountains looked like velvet.

amazing clay cliffs between Omarama and Mount Cook - worth the drive off the main road - lots of different colors of clay and the red fruit in the foreground are on the sweet briar rosehip bushes a plant that was introduced to NZ by the settlers
