We added another night to our stay and we were upgraded to a suite at a reduced price. It was a great room with fantastic views of the lake and mountains. The staff was very friendly and we truly loved our stay here!

Completely underrated

The woman at the front deal is the most pleasant person we've met in a long time. She was wonderful. The room was great too, clean and comfortable. The balcony was large with a great view. Breakfast was delicious and everything went smoothly.

Don Abbondio

4 night stay and as others have mentioned the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was okay if all you need is a bed for the night and are travelling all day. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the centre of town/train station. Has a lovely restaurant next door with views overlooking the lake.

Staff was super nice. Half the items in the room (air conditioning and television) didn’t work and walls were scuffed and the shower didn’t appear very clean. If you’re just looking for a place to stay overnight, the staff is great but the room is average.

Me and my family stayed here for a week to go to my brother’s wedding up in Belagio. This place is beautiful and the view is also amazing from the dock. Luciano and his wife were very welcoming and accommodated all of our needs as much as they could. Breakfast options was also great. The locals are very friendly , I befriended two of the local business owners around the area as well. The room we stayed in was the biggest one in the top , we loved the sun roofs. Overall the room service was also great. I definitely recommend Don Abbondio.

Hotel Don Abbondio is 30 minutes walk from Lecco train station and the main tourist area of the town. It's in a quiet area with, mainly, local people. There is a large supermarket about 7 minutes walk away from the hotel. 3 minutes walk to the main road leads to a bus stop (2 Euros per person takes you to a bus stop at the back of the train station) and a takeaway food outlet. There's a restaurant next to the hotel. We didn't hire a car, so I can't comment about parking, but I think that parking isn't a problem near the hotel. The service from reception was excellent, the buffet breakfast was fine, and the room cleaning was good, every day :) Overall, at this price point, as long as you're happy to be away from the town center, this is a very good deal :)

When we arrived there was a huge hole in the reception area's floor. There is NO bar or hot food available. The whole of the hotel is in need of a refurb, very dated. It's over a kilometre walk into town or a 12 euro cab. there is nothing around the hotel ie bars restaurants etc. pay bit extra and find a hotel in Lecco town centre !!

This was a great stay at a very reasonable price for Lecco, we had a double room with a small balcony and it was quite comfortable. The area around the hotel is beautiful, being on the lakeside and with two or three restaurants or bars very close, the one next door is very popular. The team at the hotel are very helpful and if you are planning to get a taxi from the airport the cost of a hotel shuttle is considerably less than a Milan taxi. I would stay here again. A couple of notes for others the rooms are small with limited storage and there are no lifts if you are in any way unsteady on your feet, although the owners were very helpful with our bags. Our A/C was ok if not perfect and there is no minibar and the TV was somewhat smaller than 32” - but these are just notes for others not complaints. All in all an ideal location to walk into Lecco or tour the area

O hotel é bem familiar , o quarto é fantástico e muito confortável!!! O hotel fica de frente para um dos braços do Lago e é muito tranquilo, ideal para famílias. A equipe de funcionários é prestativa e muito acolhedora. Recomendo!
