"* The buffet breakfast was well below expectations for the $25 per person charge. The selection was extremely basic, with limited bread and meat options and almost no vegetables available. The fruit offering was also disappointing — whole apples, pears, and oranges were provided rather than cut fruit, and none appeared particularly fresh.
* I had the room on “Do Not Disturb” and left the used towels and bath mat outside the room. In most hotels I have stayed at, the standard practice is to provide fresh towels and bath mats in a bag outside the room. Unfortunately, this was not done, so I had to go down to reception to request fresh towels. The receptionist advised she would bring them up shortly; however, after waiting more than 30 minutes, nothing arrived. I then attempted to call reception multiple times with no answer and eventually had to return downstairs again, where the same receptionist apologised and said she had forgotten.
* During checkout, my room was incorrectly charged for two days of breakfast when I had only used the breakfast service once.
* I used to stay at this accommodation frequently for work travel and genuinely enjoyed my previous experiences, which is why I chose to return for leisure travel. Unfortunately, this recent stay has made me reconsider whether I would choose to stay here again on future visits to Hobart.
