A good budget hotel

A really nice simple hotel on the outskirts of town. Great staff team, and a good buffet breakfast. Easy 2 minute walk to local pub/restaurant and a bistro/grill. A little tired in places on the exterior, but the room was clean and fresh.

Location and parking was good. Receptionist was grumpy. Room has see better days. The window could not be locked, there was no air conditioning and room needed redecorating. No English speaking channel on TV. Breakfast from 7 am. No cooked breakfast eg scrambled eggs,bacon. Bar was at property but not serving drinks. I requested ice cubes for water drinks but not available. At best it was basic.

Good but a bit cold in the room

Everything was good and as expected but the room was very cold when I arrived. It took several hours to get a comfortable temperature. Boild eggs for breakfast is a big plus for me. Thank you!

Room was clean and quiet and the bed was very comfy but the toilet would not flush! Staff came to the rescue very quickly and did a temporary fix. They also offered us the only other room they had but it was twin so we stayed where we were.

Needs better staffing!

Excellent value and ideal location for The 33rd Ciruit Historique de Laon weekend event. Hotel was full but only had one young lady trying to manage everything each morning. Check-in/ out, refilling buffet breakfast and clearing tables. She did the best she could often running back and forth and should commended. This is a criticism of the management of this hotel NOT the young lady.

As usual , a very good stay . One minor complaint - I requested a specific room ( no 33 ) well in advance of my stay , but it had not been reserved for me I stayed in R 32 instead ( which as it happens was also fine ) I shall request R 32 in a months time , when I do please have it available !! I had booked a room with Kyriad Direct at a more or less standard decent 2/3 star rate. When I arrived I found I had been booked in to a top floor room with the next door Premiere Class building which seems to charge about 60% of the type of room I had paid for. The receptionist had no idea how this had happened but with some persuasion gave me a ground floor disabled type room in the main hotel. Although boasting a restaurant, only pizzas were available there so I had to walk to the other Kyriad Hotel only 250 metres away to find a decent meal there

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été confrontés à de sortes d’insectes, toiles d’araignées et autres mouches. J’ai fait des photos que je suis allé montrer à la réception le lendemain matin. La réceptionniste m’a expliqué qu’il y a chaque année une campagne de coupure de blé qui libère cette sorte d’insectes qu’on appelle bête de blé et qu’il y avait un produit qui avait été aspergé autour de l’hôtel. Selon toute vraisemblance, cela n’a pas suffi et elle s’est donc engagée à envoyer le service nettoyage pour faire le grand ménage dans la chambre pour que la deuxième nuit soit plus agréable. Curieusement, à notre retour vers 18h, non seulement il n’y a pas eu de grand ménage mais la chambre n’a pas été faite du tout. Nous avons retrouvé le lit dans le même état, les services non changées, et à nouveau les petites bêtes partout jusque sur le lit. Je suis retourné à l’accueil et l’hôtesse a promis envoye quelqu’un après notre sortie pour une soirée. À notre retour après 2h du matin, même état. Elle s’est tout simplement foutue de nous. Je vous assure que nous n’avons pas réussi à trouver le sommeil entre la chaleur et les bêtes qu’il fallait chasser toute la nuit. C’était HORRIBLE !!!!! De toute ma vie, je n’ai connu une telle situation et PLUS JAMAIS dans cet hôtel !
