The room was this beautiful wood cabin rustic look. Quiet place tucked away in lake George. Was able to walk down the back strip to million dollar strip and enjoy our evening.

A very good place if you just need a room right by the village. Nothing super fancy but I knew that going in. Easy access in and out of the village. Very walkable. Friendly staff. I stayed 3 nights and very much enjoyed my time there.

This hotel is okay, especially for the price but a few side details. The entry doors are, at least in my room standard budget hollow core interior doors, which should be a big fire violation but also allow sound in. There are chairs outside each door, which people start sitting in and chatting in very early. The biker community starts early in most of Lake George, so the thin doors allow that sound into your room at nearly full volume very early. While the rooms are very cute with pine walls and newly renovated, the beds are very hard but probably new. I would guess the cheapest bed one can find with no box spring. Just a metal frame and very firm mattress. In my room, the shower drain was clogged, so the shower pan filled up fast. The room had a microwave and refrigerator. Handy but refrigerator was not on, so I never did figure that out, although I was pressed for time. TV worked fine. Heater worked fine, at least in early October. Staff was friendly. WiFi was good. This is a solid choice for those looking to bed down at a great price but if you you like peace and quiet in the morning skip this one. Location is great! If I were the owner, I would save up and get the doors up to code with solid core fire doors that block sound and I would upgrade the beds, and then I could charge another $20-40 per night and quickly recover the costs as well as bring the quality up a notch or two.

Owners were very friendly. Room and bathroom were small, but ok. Bed was very comfortable. Nice rustic pine walls. Very convenient gas station and store right next door, 1 minute walk, for any food/supplies. Negatives: 3 vans pulled up with 12-15 people at 8:30pm and they set up camp/tents in the motel grass area 20 yards from the room. They were loud and awakened everyone at 5am. This was unacceptable. I left a night early even though I paid for the 2nd night as I was unwilling to experience this nonsense for another night.

Small very basic motel, but clean and comfortable. If you are going to be out all day and just need a place to sleep, it's great. The location is very good and it's even walkable (long walk) to the Million Dollar Beach and the Steamboat Marina, so you would save on the parking fee.

The owners of this property are fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about them. Very welcoming and kind. We will definitely stay here again. Good old-fashioned motel experience that you don't really see too often anymore.

Inexpensive, safe, and clean!!

I am so impressed with this little motel! Clearly family run. Very friendly people! The room was small and maybe not a destination in and of itself, but for a safe and clean place to sleep and shower, it was perfect! They definitely keep it clean and maintained very well and the next time I am in the area I will certainly use the Doray Motel!

Great stay

This was our first time staying at this property but definitely not our last . The owners were welcoming and offered great tips to enjoy Lake George ! This property is within a 15-20 minute walk to Million Dollar Beach and the downtown shops and restaurants . The room was very clean and efficient . We can’t wait for our next visit

The proprietors are warm and friendly, the rooms are super clean ; the well-kept grounds feature a grill and picnic tables for your dining pleasure. Short drive, and within walking distance to the lake/ Fort William Henry recreation museum. All in all, a GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY!!!

Last minute weekend getaway.

Moray is an older, smaller hotel but was a nice option for an impromptu weekend trip for me and the wife. Pleasant staff, very helpful and quick during check in. Small but clean and acceptable bathroom. And price was fair.

Solo traveler in town for the Adirondack Balloon Festival, two night stay, room was reserved online, through Expedia. Small getaway

What a lovely spot this was. Our room was clean and newly renovated and had all the basics like microwave small refrigerator towels soap etc. No daily room cleaning which we like but when we needed anything extra the owners were helpful. We tend to choose small family owned and operated spots. Downtown area was a ten min walk and lots of great restaurants walking distance. We look forward to coming back.

Older motel ,mom and pop operation. friendly. the owner took time to talk with us. check in was quick. it was Mid May, so lots of places in the area were not open yet in Lake George, many motels were still cleaning/sprucing up. The owner also took the time to speak to me with options available at the property for the September adirondack nationals car show.1 Draw back no pool.

Out dated , but very clean friendly owner . Super nice person . Place could use renovations. New shower curtains. Nice place to stop for an easy place to stay , sleep . Place has no pool . But Expedia’s says it does . Not owner’s fault. Next door to Stewart convienance shop for food and snacks . Walgreens close by . Short walk to downtown. Would stay here again.

Not fancy, but super sweet! Loved it.

This is a simple little motel where we stopped on our way during a long road trip. We weren’t looking for more than a clean bed and a bathroom. We were pleasantly greeted by the charming owners, who engaged us in a nice conversation. They were just so kind. We were also so happy to discover an EV destination charger on-site. There's a convenience store right next door so we grabbed some beer and hung out on the “patio” (really just two chairs in front of the door, but it was so nice and cozy). There were also friendly people in one of the other rooms, and between them and the owners it felt like we were saying goodbye to friends when we left.
