Black Mold in AC
While overall I would say this is a nicely renovated over garage unit, I experienced multiple problems with my stay that would have me advise against others staying on this property. First, some minor inconveniences:- This property is on the same lot as a larger house rented by the same company, which could make for some unexpected encounters with other tenants during the stay- As this rental is on a shared lot, you are asked to park on the edge of the property, halfway on gravel and halfway in a drainage ditch- The kitchen while stocked with cooking utensils, has no spices so be prepared to bring or buy them- Two of the four stove burners did not work- There are a few curtains on the windows, which is an improvement from recent reviews, but they fall over at the slightest breeze because they were cheaply put inNow, for the mold: I had noticed that there was an off smell in the room where the AC was. After looking into the vent, I immediately saw quite a bit of black mold. I immediately contacted the rental company about this and while they sent out a friendly maintenance worker, they unfortunately broke the AC in the process of trying to clean it. The rental company then tried to 'make it right' by installing portable ACs, but they were loud as planes and hardly cooled anything down. Thankfully VRBO has a zero tolerance policy for mold and relocated me once contacted.
