"OK, so the Hotel Niwa in Tokyo is a literal oasis in the middle of the city and it felt so restful to return to this sanctuary at the end of a long day of the spectacular noise and visual overload of Tokyo. From the lobby (and the super helpful staff there), to the breakfast buffet to the lovely tradition-inspired room design, I found this whole experience to be exemplary. There is no ground-floor window or glass door you can look out through from inside and not see greenery, foliage, water...

"Inchecken kan echt pas om 15:00 uur. Als je eerder bent kun je de bagage achterlaten en krijg je een volgnummer om rond 15:00 uur in te checken. De kussens zijn erg Japans, maar de kamer en voorzieningen zijn prima, het personeel vriendelijk opmerkzaam en behulpzaam."

"We loved everything about our stay here. The little apartment was perfect! The shower was amazing. Having a washer/dryer was so convenient. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location was convenient for getting to several different train lines. A perfect place to stay with a kid to explore Tokyo. We will definitely be looking for Section L's in the future."

"Mimaru was a best match to our family of 6. We all got to stay in 1 unit with 6 twin beds and had 2 dining table. Very spacious with a kitchen. Laundry room on the ground level by the elevator."

"We booked a room that's advertised to house 4 guests but the room was filled with beds and barely any room to walk. It should be a crime to put so many beds in such a tiny space. The location's great though. It's close to everything you want to do in Ueno and Asakusa. There were many food options nearby. The train is about 8 minutes away."

"Facilities were good. Very strict on no tattoos in onsene. Also checking in was not as smooth as it xould be because they use an automated system that didn't recognize the Expedia reservation. Otherwise location was great and staff were very helpful"

"If you are traveling with a big group, this location is perfect for it. Rooms have plenty of space and plenty of amenities for everyone. Location is a bit off from the local tourist spots, but a metro line is at walking distance if planning to go into the city. Plenty of local restaurants to choose from and convenience stores near by. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family."
