I love the smell of avgas in the morning! Airshow time!! Last year, the US government cut back on defense department spending, which cut into airshow performances around the United States. This year, the US Navy Blue Angels and the US Air Force Thunderbirds have been given the all-clear to perform at various shows around the country. This shot of two Blue Angels F-18 Hornets making a high speed and close pass was taken at the South Texas Airshow on March 29th, at Naval Air Station, Kingsville. Take lots if sunscreen, a hat, drink plenty if water and, of course, a camera with a decent zoom. This shot was taken at 200mm.

Large, clean room with comfortable bed. AC unit is a bit loud and you can hear traffic, nothing usual when staying in a hotel and it met our needs.

The cottage was cozy. Looked as it was showed. Linda was very welcoming, very friendly and very accommodating. We had a couple of hiccups that were not her fault at all, but she took care of the problem immediately and we continue to have a wonderful day.
