"Lovely clean room, we didn't get a Loch view which was a shame but that's how it is.
Room was ideal for our overnight stay
Bed was comfortable but strangely small for a "double" bed
The one disappearing thing was the lack of plugs in the room, there wasn't one anywhere near the dressing unit, where my wife would of used her hairdryer and straighteners, even with the extension lead we brought, she ended up sitting at the window with a shaving mirror. Not ideal."
Tayvallich a secret corner of Argyll, beautifully located Chalet.
.
10/10 Excellent
"Tayvallich is a great spot to explore the surrounding countryside and coastline. The chalet has a lovely sunny conservatory and deck with views to the lock. There are comfortable beds and there was plenty of space for the 3 of us. (We didn’t use the 3rd bedroom). WiFi is fine. We spent every morning kayaking from the easily accessible shore (which the dog loved as well) and some mornings even paddled across to get fresh sourdough bread from the honesty box across the bay. My one criticism is that there is no washing machine - but this is a minor concern. We had a wonderful week and would recommend the chalet."
"Very large and filling breakfast. Plenty of space for all guests staying there. Hospitable and friendly hosts. It is a lovely place and would not hesitate to book again."
"This is an older property so don’t expect “modern boutique” style accommodation. The room was clean with nice sea view and the bed comfortable. The room was a bit warm (though that was when Scotland was having a bit of a heatwave - so probably not a common problem!). We had dinner in the Restaraunt and it was excellent. The final part of the road to Crinan is quite narrow which, while it adds to the anticipation, could be challenging if you are unlucky to meet a lot of cars on the single track road - but there are passing places, so just take your time!"
Beautiful 10 person modern bungalow in Bruichladdich with stunning views
10/10 Excellent
"The bungalow was perfect for our family's stay in Bruichladdich. It was clean and modern and the views across the bay are beautiful. The mini market just a couple of doors down is perfect for coffee and breakfast sandwiches in the morning. Claire was a great host, very responsive to questions and check-in and check-out were very easy."
"Just returned home, stayed at this very good peaceful hotel ,Andrew was busy planting up in his very nice garden to this hotel, and offered us to change out of our motorbike gear as it was very hot as we arrived early.
We had the most amazing breakfast ,did not get the young lady that made this but she was very helpful on our on going journey to the ferry.
The room was lovley.
Well done galley of the lorne.and staff.
Bob and Anne"
"Couldn’t fault the property or the staff.
The amenities are as best as you could expect in such a small island.
Manager was very helpful and chatty
I would recommend the Colonsay Hotel for shorts stays , not because there is anything wrong with it , the staff , ir the island but it is a small island and there is only so much you can do.
Beaches are stunning and so is the walk across The Strand to the Isle of Oransay"
