Snap of Koh Rang Nok at sunset. This tiny island lies 600 metres off the west coast of Koh Phra Thong, an island which belongs to the Phang Nga Province in south Thailand. Koh Phra Thong is a true off-the-beaten-track holiday destination: with only a few accommodation choices, kilometres of deserted beaches, and a landscape that looks like the African savanna, it offers the perfect place to get away from it all. #LifeAtExpediaGroup

Visit here during late April (like we did) and you'll have this glorious 11 km golden sandy beach all to yourselves. Koh Phra Thong is still off the main tourist path due to its remoteness (you can only access it by private boat or public ferry from Khuraburi) and lack of tourist infrastructure (no mains electricity here). But this surely can't last for long so go now to enjoy it while you can. If you want to splurge you can stay at the Golden Buddha Beach Resort, or for a more simple, affordable option try a bamboo/wooden bungalow at the Phra Thong Nature Resort.
