"This was an incredible hotel. It had a perfect mix of Bed&Breakfast meets The Ritz. Extremely helpful and pleasant staff that were extremely accomodating to all request. The only downside to the entire experience is that breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. The only restaurant onsite is only open for later meals. There is a coffee and snack section near the front desk, but having at least a continential selection would have made our mornings more pleasant as we ventured out to explore Maine....

"I was not expecting to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke when leaving the building to the rear parking lot. Evidently I interrupted 6-8 employees’ break time on the little covered porch outside the building. Otherwise, the facility was excellent."

"There was bag of goldfish on the floor by the bed it should have been picked up by staff my daughter and sister noticed what looked like a small blood stain at the bottom of the back of the bathroom door. The rest of the room was good and the beds were comfortable. I just expected a little better for the price we paid"

"This is a classic Maine B&B! Wonderful owners and delicious breakfast with always two options! Fresh homemade cookies at the end of the day! Rooms were very nice with nice sized private bathroom. A wonderful stay and will definitely be back. Why do the chain hotel when you can have this experience!"

"We stayed there for two nights at this charming inn. Very cute and the only hiccup was the air conditioning. It was like a meat locker and no way to adjust the temperature. The morning breakfast was simple but very adequate Definitely check it out ! We will be back!"

"We appreciated the clean rooms and facility. The grounds were groomed very well with yard games available. The Inn was located conveniently to downtown Freeport. It was very charming and picturesque. The only negative downside to our stay was the breakfast. The advertising led us to believe the breakfast was free. It was NOT, unless you just wanted a very limited continental breakfast. (And if you are gluten free, good luck, and bring your own pasties.) Anything hot or cooked was on a menu...

"Bed was very comfortable. Was able to make the room very dark which helped me sleep. Staff was friendly and helpful."

"I was initially put in a room that was next to a mechanical room for the pool, it had a very loud hum that made the experience extremely unpleasant. They did move me to a different room the next day, but the promised comped night was not reflected on the bill. I will not stay there again."

"The air conditioning unit has a stale smell. thankfully we went on nights that were cool so we switched off the air-conditioning and kept the windows open. I would never be able to stay in this room if I had to keep the heat or the AC on because of the smell that it emanates. I mentioned to the hotel staff and they’re supposed to call me back, but no one has Also, the room look much better in the pictures than they actually are"
