We all enjoyed our time on the lake and love that the hosts made kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, helmets, and life jackets in all sizes available without our having to bring everything with us. The house is very clean, smartly decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation here. The house is beautiful and clean! The kitchen is fully stocked. Vanessa provided us with everything we needed. The home is in a perfect location. There is so much to do both in the Bear Creek community as well as the Jim Thorpe area. The kids enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards, fishing, and pool table at the house.Vanessa is very responsive and provided us with information about the house and Jim Thorpe prior to our stay.We would definitely come back again in the future!

Very pleasant getaway

Nice property - great view and access to lake. Very responsive manager. Pickleball players note - there were two courts with pickleball lines - one with no net and one with tennis net. Luckily we had our own net.

Beutiful view

House has everything you need, including fantastic view of lake. Short drive into historic section of zzJim Thorpe. Hosts thought of everything to enjoy lake activities.

Beautiful Autumn Retreat

We had a wonderful and relaxing visit at this home on Bear Creak Lake. The home was spotless and so well-equipped with everything we needed. The lake was beautiful and we had some refreshing walks in this very quiet neighborhood. The owners were immediately responsive when we had a question about the dishwasher and with their help, we had no trouble. I would definitely stay in this home in the future - I would rate it top- patch!

Anniversary Celebration

BEAR CREEK RETREAT is a fantastic home! Perfect location with beautiful views of the lake. The host has thought of EVERYTHING to make you feel at home. Beautifully decorated, super comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen with towels and linens for all the guests. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our family and really would never have had to leave the house! New family memories were made around the firepit, fishing in the lake, kayaking and hiking. Weather couldn't have been better to fully enjoy our long weekend! Thank you, Vanesa and Jon for sharing this wonderful relaxing retreat with us!

Lakehouse dream getaway!

This house had everything we could have asked for...right down to a bag of marshmallows for s'mores! The inside was beautiful, beds comfy, and fully stocked kitchen. We had a great time playing pool, darts and sitting around the fire pit at night. We relaxed by the lake while the kids spent the day kayaking and canoeing around the lake. The area is secluded and we didn't have to leave the house at all. Would definitely book this house again!

Great lake house in a great location

This house is one of the best on Bear Creek Lake, has everything you need for a great vacation with your loved ones. It has a Beautiful backyard with easy lake access with a beach and dock. And it’s close to Jim Thorpe. The hosts are wonderful and can’t say enough good things about it.

Amazing Family Retreat!

This house had everything we needed for a few days away with a family of four and two grandparents. Everyone had enough space, the house was stocked, and the lake was perfect. Great vacation!

Perfect Lake Getaway!

My family and I had a wonderful time during our stay at Bear Creek Lake retreat! The lakefront house is absolutely beautiful and is equipped with everything we needed. The host checked in with us and made us feel very welcome. The lake is perfect for swimming, floating and kayaking. We also enjoyed playing tennis at the recreational center (passes were included). Highly recommend!

Cozy Spring Break Getaway

My family of 5 (including 3 children under 6) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this immaculate home. We found the home to be both clean and crisp while simultaneously cozy and having all the comforts of home. We were unlucky with weather, but we’re still able to get out a bit to enjoy local hiking and waterfalls. The owner was extremely helpful in regards to recommending things to do from the point of booking until the week of,when she was able to recommend some indoor activities. ❤️ My kids had an absolute blast. We sat by the fire, played games, scootered in the huge garage space, baked cookies, set up an indoor tent, hiked, and most importantly slowed down. It was exactly what we needed and the home/amazing view was the most perfect backdrop for it. We would love to come back as I’m sure it would be perfection any time of the year. This home has everything you need and felt like a luxurious stay. There’s also Plenty of room for multiple families.Thank you!

Gorgeous lakeside home

We stayed in early January for a ski/snowtubing weekend. We got lucky with the weather as there was a storm over the weekend so there was fresh snow for skiing as well as a picturesque view. The house was fantastic. Beautiful design and extremely clean. More than spacious fitting two families of four. The owners ensured we had all the necessary information for our stay and had great amenities to use even though we didn’t have enough time to use everything as our stay was short. I would certainly book this place again especially in summer to enjoy the lake.

Absolutely Amazing

We loved this property so much. The location, the home, all of the amenities. We enjoyed sitting by the campfire in the evenings. During the day we hit all the shops and pubs in Jim Thorpe and had the best time. Will likely come back and will most definitely recommend to all friends as and family!

Relaxing vacation, BEAUTIFUL & comfortable home on LAKE!!!

We had an absolutely amazing time at the Lake House, and will definitely return! Kitchen is very well stocked and has every gadget you might need, from the salad spinner to the wooden kabob sticks!! Awesome family vacation

We spent a week at this home with our children, their spouses and 3 grandchildren ages 11 months, 1, and 3. There was plenty of space for all of us and lots of room for the children to play. The kitchen was very well equipped for all of our meals and the beach and lake were great! The owner, Vanessa, was easy to communicate with and checked on us mid-week to make sure all was well and we did not need anything. The house was very clean. It was a fun week for our family!

Graduation

Perfect property for our 3 generation family to celebrate our daughter’s graduation with her Master’s from the University of Scranton. We enjoyed the watercraft, the fire pit and the large open kitchen and living room. Adult “kids” played pool in the garage. Bonus was the downstairs bedroom, office and living area. Every bit as good as its description

This place looks pretty great in the pictures and description -- I'm happy to say this property exceeds expectations . The house is beautiful both inside and out. The great room with its fantastic lake view and fully equipped kitchen was perfect to hang out and prepare and share meals. The bedrooms were all comfortable and there were many inviting gathering areas inside and outdoors. The hosts provide equipment and passes to enjoy the lake facilities. Communication was easy and the host was helpful and attentive before and during our stay. I'd highly recommend staying at his special place/

Beautiful, stylish getaway
