The breakfast is not good, very limited items and not tasty. Staff keeps on persude us to eat in the hotel's restaurant, very expensive dinner 40,000 yen per person. "Lovely and peaceful resort with friendly and attentive staff. The food is excellent and the surroundings are beautiful. It is worth exploring the area outside the resort too as there are a few interesting shops and restaurants within 10-15 minutes walk. For non-Japanese speakers, please have patience as most of the staff have limited/no English so planning is needed when arranging restaurant reservations or booking trips. Also note that some trips appear to only accept Japanese speaking guests. In our case we just got the route maps from the village tourist office and worked our own way around Yanbaru forest. Overall, it was well worth the visit."
