"This hotel is attractive and has comfortable rooms. However, it seemed severely understaffed. The pool was out of towels, leaving my kid shivering outside it while I found someone who could get more towels. At breakfast, they were completely out of bowls. My kids ate their cereal off plates. Then they ran out of forks. "This was my first bed-and-breakfast experience, and it went very well! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were super comfortable and private. The breakfast offered in the morning was very delicious and plentiful! It is a fixed menu, but of course you can know if you have allergen or dietary restrictions and it can be adjusted. "The hotel is located right in JMU very easy location, 1/2 mile from downtown. The lobby is very nice, breakfast was fine, nothing crazy but good enough. Check in was ok, we didn’t get the room we booked and was told to talk to Expedia about it. There was a strange odor on the floors, not sure if it was new carpeting or wallpaper but it was strong. Room was nice and spacious, bathroom was ok, shower just had a glass panel, no door or curtain. It’s a bit noisy at night, Main Street is busy."
