Day to day running of this small family country B & B type hotel falls to Mum and dad of the real brains of the outfit, Nikos who runs the place as part and parcel of his birdwatching holidays centred on the spectacular Lake kerkini. It is a bit noisy-. On saturday night football fans leaving nearby cafes especially teenage boys make a din on their souped up mopeds, Brrm Brrm! And then there are the cockerels next door.. But in all other respects, nothing is too much trouble with Nikos going out of his way to help in whatever way he can. Hrisosarafa ( my anglicisation of the name) is a quaint little place with a total of 8 bar-cafes grouped around the main (only) square..

Dear Nikos, thank you very much for our wonderful stay at your place. We will always remember great boat trips where we ended up with beautiful photos of pelicans. It wouldn't be possible without you. We loved the way you support local people und respect the mother Earth. The surrandings are great espacially for birdwatching. We also liked breakfast with plenty of Greek specialities. The vegan chocolate cake made by Christina is a must.

Incredible birding spot.

Amazing owner of a well kept hotel near Lake Kerkini. Very knowledgeable and personable owner who took the time to not only bring me on a birding boat ride, but also detailed locations locally to find birds on my solo days. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a birding trip in Greece. You won't be disappointed!

This was a charming Inn. The staff and owners were very accommodating. The room was clean and charming, fireplace, monogrammed towels and sheets. The owner even picked us up at the bus stop instead of needing a cab. It was a very nice stay.

What a great stay

I decided to visit lake Kerkini to photograph and began hunting for a place to stay for three nights along with three friends. I must say that Nikos was great starting from acknowledging our booking in no time and giving us all the information we required for our photography trip. We got in late, around 2245 and Nikos had organized our dinner at a local restaurant.We the e found out the he was to be our guide and boatman. A great plus for us was that he is a photographer too, after dinner we checked into our rooms.They were all extremely comfortable and clean. The boat experience was simply delightful and we took full advantage of Nikos’s experience and got a variety of magical shots. I will surely be his best against was one of the best photography trips I’ve been on.

Nice private hotel in a small village

+Very friendly owner! +Nice and clean room with well working A/C. +Breakfast ok (buffé) with some homemade food. +Private parking, but very small. +Some restaurants nearby (nearest 30 m...). +Small food shop in front of the hotel. +WiFi usable (poor signal on first floor)
