The pool was really nice and the room was clean. I tried to ask for an extra pillow (5 months pregnant) so that I could more comfortably lay in bed but they said they had a 2 pillow policy and wouldn't give me one more. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay. Just wish I could have slept better with an extra pillow.

When we got in the first room it was nice until my mom went into the bathroom. She opened the lid on the toilet and it was full of poop. We complained and they put us in another room. The toilet in that room didn't flush but we stayed anyway because it was late. It seems like the bathrooms should be cleaned or at least checked before putting new people in the rooms. The manager did give us a refund because we didn't stay the second night. The bedrooms were clean and the staff was accommodating.

Great little hometown run hotel! It's not a resort, but nicely kept, good responcive service, good hot breakfast and wonderful location - 2 blocks from downtown. Well worth the cost and I'll be sure to rebook and stay here again on future overnights to Independence!!!

Staff was mildly friendly. The lobby, hallway and room were all extremely clean! It was a very quiet and restful stay. Would stay again, but only in a different room, as the door frame lock area was severely damaged.
